Serviced Apartments by Solaria

Overall good!

We just returned from a 15-day stay at St. Solaria. We had the best time ever. This place is one of a kind, with an amiable staff, a spotlessly clean apartment, and loads of free services. It is also very well located in the center of everything while being surrounded by beautiful mountains.

We were with friends for 2 nights in two rooms in Solaria. They had gone there another time and the reservation was in their name. We were accommodated in room 2102. When we were checking in, we looked around the room, there is no check list of what is available such as glasses, dishes, furniture, chairs, coffee machines, etc. We left the hotel at 08:30 we left the key at the reception and no one wanted to see the room in what condition we leave it and what is available. After 3 hours of leaving, the amount of 400 CHF was withdrawn from our friends' card without warning and they received an email accusing us of moving chairs from one room to another and tearing the upholstery of one chair and for that they stopped the money. We went back to the hotel to check what we had done but the manager was very arrogant and rude to us and said you were right. We asked to see the chair, which they accused us of being torn. An employee brought it and when we asked which room the chair was from, he said a completely different room number than the one we were in. Much bitterness and disappointment remained with our stay in Solaria. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR ACCOMMODATION. But if you are still booked into staying overnight, please check everything very carefully when you check in, so that you don't end up being a victim too.

This was my second time at Solaria. Everything worked. The apartment was very nice and clean. Balcony and view were exellent. Solaria location is very good, tracks and local buses to town so easy. Sauna would be super ; )). Hope to see you next time.

Excellent value for comfortable accommodation in a fabulous setting. Solaria is a collection of purpose built apartments and houses in a peaceful setting near Davos Dorf. We received a warm greeting on our early arrival and because our house was ready, we were allowed to check in. Our house (number 30) was well equipped, warm and very comfortable. The architecture Davos isn’t terribly inspiring and Solaria is a bit Bauhaus but don’t let that fool you, it’s very comfortable and well equipped with great views from the south facing rooms. There’s a half hourly bus service into Davos Dorf but walking in only takes 15 minutes. Solaria also offer pick up/drop off at Davos Dorf railway station. Our house came complete with a separate garage which kept our hire car free from snow. Having a car is an advantage here, I won’t lie, but managing without is perfectly possible. The TV in the large lounge has all the mainstream UK channels which was actually quite nice for the odd quiet night in. The bedrooms are supremely comfortable and the bathroom very adequate with a bath and shower over. Having a separate dining room was nice too. At the price, this was really good value for Davos. There were only three of us but we were almost rattling around in this three bedroom house, with one double and two asymmetric bunk twins. The reception staff were unfailingly courteous and friendly and the whole experience was overwhelmingly positive. Highly recommended.

My fourth stay at Solaria. Great location, easy to book in etc and very helpful staff if you need them. Apartment excellent, clean, comfortable and spacious. Everything very efficient and organised.
