Essen sehr gut. Verbesserungswürdig: Wegweisung innerhalb des Hotels (Zimmer, Hallenbad, Skiraum…).

Booked last minute for the weekend so maybe we got unlucky with the room but still, not an enjoyable staying. The hotel is an old fashioned one and in agreement with other reviews not really a 4 star. Parking is also totally inconvenient. Also bedding is questionable and a kettle in the room wouldn’t be bad. Breakfast is decent enough and location is good. Main issue is the piano bar which is a great initiative but given the old walls and doors keeps you awake till almost 3 am because of the loud music and vibrations (despite earplugs). We were at the 2nd floor, not sure the 3rd floor is better but for us very disappointing and tiring for 2 nights in a row with almost no sleep.

We stayed at Hotel Europe in Davos from January 2 to 5, 2025, and unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations for a 4-star hotel. Here is a detailed account of the issues we faced: 1. Parking Inconvenience: While we were allowed to park in front of the hotel for 30 minutes to unload luggage and passengers, there was no long-term parking available. The recommended parking garage was full, leaving us to park at the Coop parking lot, which was a 10-minute walk away. This added unnecessary hassle to our arrival experience. 2. Unpractical Room Allocation: We were given a room on the 4th floor with no elevator access. This was highly inconvenient as we were traveling with a 4-month-old baby and a stroller. Despite mentioning the age of our children during the reservation, this was not disclosed to us beforehand. Reception explained that the 4th floor was the only option to avoid noise from the piano bar, but this lack of transparency left us frustrated. 3. Low-Quality Bedding: The pillows and duvet were of very poor quality, causing us to sweat excessively during the night. While we requested feather pillows the next day, the improvement was minimal. Additionally, the two queen beds pushed together created a gap, which was problematic for our 4-year-old sleeping in the middle. Reception eventually resolved this by adding a proper bed for our child and a cover to secure the beds, but this should have been addressed from the start. 4. Lack of Dining Options: On our first night, when we asked reception about food options, they directed us to another hotel (Grischa) for quality dining, suggesting a lack of confidence in their own offerings. 5. Bathroom Issues: The shower in our room had almost no water pressure, which made it unsuitable for a proper shower after skiing. 6. Subpar Breakfast: The breakfast was extremely disappointing. It was reminiscent of a youth hostel rather than a 4-star hotel. Choices were limited, and if you arrived close to the closing time of 10 AM, options were almost nonexistent. For example, there was only one type of bread left. Ordered eggs took over 30 minutes to arrive and were poorly presented with little taste. 7. Wellness Area Problems: The sauna required prior registration at reception, which was not communicated to us. The swimming pool temperature was far too cold (around 20°C), making it unpleasant for use, especially for families with children. 8. Disappointing Customer Service: Upon checkout, the staff asked how our stay was. When I expressed that it was not to our satisfaction, they made no effort to inquire further or address any issues, clearly showing a lack of concern. To make matters worse, I requested the final bill to be sent via email, which they assured me would be done—but it never arrived. This lack of follow-through only solidified the impression of poor customer service. 9. Positives: The hotel’s central location was convenient for exploring Davos. Additionally, as promised, we

Very centrally located but unfortunately a huge disappointment as we had a room on the first floor, directly above the piano bar. Unfortunately the music (which was at least 50db in the room) was not turned off even after 11pm. Our call to reception was also unsuccessful. Hotel Davos - more of a dump for drunken party teenagers than a hotel with 4* standards!

This hotel should be avoided. Having seen the notes on trip advisor and the rather flattering photos, I let myself be fooled and booked a weekend in this hotel, being a ski lover. First thing to notice upon our arrival: cold and unfriendly welcome. Old hotel with very old-fashioned and weird decor. Arrived at the room, my god what a horror. Walls as thick as cardboard, you can hear absolutely everything. Peeling paint and filthy bedroom and bathroom. Visit to the “spa”…a cold water swimming pool and a closed sauna (a very unpleasant guy who passed by explained to me in a firm tone that I must reserve my entry to the sauna to get there). In short, disappointed again. After a day on the slopes and having traveled 300km by car, we decide to eat at the hotel restaurant. We kindly ask at reception for a cheese fondue, and we are told (another very unpleasantly cold one) that they don't do that here….definitely, it continues… We leave this shabby hotel to find a good restaurant where we are well served and welcomed. Back at this nightmare hotel, it's 11 p.m., and loud music starts. An evening is organized with a singer, a lookalike of Elton John… The walls being very thin, like paper, no insulation, impossible to rest. I decide to call reception after waiting 1 hour anyway. The receptionist tells me that they are going to be noisy all night and that we have to deal with it. I'm exhausted and I just want to be able to sleep, impossible, only with earplugs. This nighttime noise will continue until 3:30 a.m.!!!! A shame!!! In the morning, after sleeping for only a few hours, exhausted, my family and I had a very mediocre breakfast in this hotel. Then I ask to speak to the manager to explain my dissatisfaction at check out. His response: “Oh? Did we make any noise? Really ? » he asks me, acting surprised. In short, we don't care about the world, No excuses, no commercial gesture. Never been to such a mediocre hotel. To flee forever. The positive reviews of this hotel are probably false. Do not get fooled.
