Holiday Inn Express & Suites Davis - University Area Reviews

The hotel is in a good location, and there are many delicious foods just outside. The room is large, with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine. The breakfast is rich, with coffee, tea, fruit, meat, eggs, and milk. There is a printer, gym, and laundry room on the first floor. I will choose this place again next time.

The rooms are spacious.

Very clean and quiet

Although the hotel appeared to be full (based on the number of cars in the parking lot last night), I was surprised how quiet the room was. Plus, the bed was very comfortable.

Our first room was noisy because of air conditioning units outside our window and they gave us another room. Very accommodating. Good breakfast

Staff, lobby, location all great. Cleaning of room could be improved... found multiple garbage on floor.

Always a pleasure staying at this location and convenient to downtown and UC Davis. Also lets not forget the bikes they provide to get around town.

Pros: Large and very clean room with comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the area is very convenient to UC Davis. Cons: The noise...from the construction site outside our window, to the upstairs neighbor who was diligently training his dancing horses and stomping around in cowboy boots with spurs all night, despite the no pets allowed policy. Then his sudden and explosive trip to the bathroom, where he reenacted the fourth of July for the entire hotel to enjoy. The walls are clearly not well insulated since we could also hear all the conversations of people walking down the hall at all hours of the night. These issues are no fault of the staff or even the hotel really, more the fault of people who obviously are unaware that they are not the only people on the planet. If you choose to stay here, I recommend earplugs.

Efficient checkin, friendly staff, included breakfast was nice - nothing fabulous but one of the better chain hotel breakfasts
