"My recent stay at this hotel was generally pleasant with smooth service and friendly staff. However, the security team left much to be desired. They were often seen using their phones, which made them appear unprofessional. One evening, after picking up food, we were told by security to use the backyard for such activities. This was particularly frustrating as it was raining at the time. Additionally, the security personnel seemed to have an overly strict approach, constantly asking for our room number and checking our room card, which felt unnecessary and intrusive. It seemed like they were not well-acquainted with their guests and lacked basic hospitality skills. While the overall stay was enjoyable, improvements in the security staff's approach would enhance the experience significantly."

"Me & my family's flight back to davao was delayed so I thought we won't be able to check in at the hotel as we arrived late but fortunately they still allowed us to check in even if we didn't make it at their last check in time at 10pm, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Red planet for the warm welcome."

"The location is the city, ambiance is good, room is clean and tidy.
Unfortunately the staff in the reception is rude and unhelpful. I politely request for a additional pillows since my husband has a medical condition. He needs to have 2-3 pillows for him to elevate his head while sleeping. However the front desk staff strongly informed me that they are fully booked and she cannot provide an additional pillows since the pillows are all consumed.
So I just kept quiet and proceed to our room. So I ask one of the staff who help us in our luggage if he can spare me 2 more pillows. Good thing he provided us with 2 more pillows when he came back to our room. I understand if they are fully booked but that is not the problem of the client. Hotel Management should prepare extra pillows incase client will have their request. Management people in Hop Inn Hotel kindly conduct a seminar on your staff how to handle customer service. Since your staff in front desk is unprofessional, rude and no customer service at all. Attitude is everything....😡😠😣☹️😟"

YYkhca_TravelsWe arrived a bit late on our first night and were accommodated poorly. After a long day of travel, we encountered several issues with our room arrangements. I had booked two rooms, expecting them to be close to each other, but that was not the case. As a family travelling together, we requested to have our rooms swapped to be nearer, yet we were only allowed to add an extra bed. This was not ideal, especially since my mom couldn't stay alone in a room meant for 6 to 8 people, which I had already paid for.
When I spoke to the front desk, who I believe was the manager on duty at the time, her tone was unpleasing and lacked empathy for us as guests. It was a disappointing negotiation. We also discussed issues with the internet connection, and she seemed unyielding, suggesting that nothing could be done except to pay for a data plan, for which they would provide a modem.
Having stayed at many hotels and being a hotel manager, I can clearly say that our service was inadequate.

BBroshStaff are very approachable and considerate. The elevator doesn't work when you are from the 4th floor. The floor under the beds need sweeping. Would stay again because of its affordability, nearness to Bangkerohan market, San Pedro cathedral, and easy access to a lot of affordable food options and public transportation.

Toilet was also just nice size. Overall, great value given the price and location (10 mins walk to Poblacion and Roxas Night Market, but far enough for peace and quiet at night). Would stay here again if I'm in Davao. Only downside is, there is no free bag storage after you check out. If you want to deposit your bag, you will have to book another night with them.

Upon arrival, I was impressed by the security and cleanliness of the property, we also had complimentary bottled 500ml water, and guest kit (tooth brush, toothpaste, shampoo, and bar soap). The friendly staff made me feel right at home, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. I loved having access to free Wi-Fi and a TV in my room, which helped me unwind after busy days. The hot and cold shower was a nice touch, ensuring I felt refreshed throughout my stay.
One of the best perks was the convenient location—just a short walk to SM Lanang, making it easy to grab meals and shop. I also appreciated the option to add breakfast, which was perfect for someone like me who had a packed schedule during the summit. Starting my day with a hearty meal was a real bonus!
The only minor downside was the absence of an elevator, but honestly, it was a small price to pay for such a great experience, especially considering how budget-friendly this booking was. YYkhca_TravelsWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the heart of the city. My partner and I experienced excellent service, mainly when an incident arose that required us to visit the hospital. The staff were exceptionally cooperative in providing an incident report, which was incredibly helpful for our insurance reimbursement process.
While the hotel is somewhat older and the amenities could be upgraded, I still felt very comfortable during our stay.
I would recommend this place.
