It is not a 5-star, it is a 4-star in terms of size and presence of services (which turn out to be of a poor level), a two-star in terms of cleanliness: the pool cushions are all filthy as well as the standards in the rooms. Go elsewhere

So over rated please avoid Dated hotel which is doing minimum on all aspects, staff are more important than guests. It needs to close and have a full refurb Subbed disgusting stressed soiled, beds need to be thrown away Why does the pool not open before 10am and roped off !!!! We have been served by Voula and Sofia, what an amazing experience at the Rooftop dinner. The whole team is really kind, we were impressive about the service for the price we paid. Just go for it ! In a more general view, the hotel is really nice, food very good and all the personal really kind for each of your need. We enjoyed a lot our time here ! Do not hesitate to book.

The rooftop restaurant was outstanding. The food was excellent, especially the risotto, which was simply incredible. The service was impeccable, all at an extremely affordable price. Voula and Sofia were exceptionally helpful and friendly, enhancing the overall experience.

As a couple, we are currently coming towards the end of our 2 week stay at The Mythos Palace Resort hotel at Boukaris, Corfu. We booked via the Jet2 App. Having read some of the recent reviews, some very good, some quite bad, we think a balance needs to drawn. OK, we agree it's not a 5 star hotel but 4 star is about right. Its for adults only which was good for us. The hotel's location is somewhat too isolated for us, but its nice and quiet and in a beautiful setting. The nearest major resort is Messonghi. The isolation was made worse last week, mid September, when the normal daily green bus service to Corfu town finished as the season draws to a close. That was a shame, but not the hotel's fault so it now requires a taxi to get to Messonghi. Cost is about €16 each way. Then to get to Corfu Town, use the green bus. The whole trip can be quite expensive but try to share the taxi at least. The bus to Corfu Town is then €2.45 each, one way. Otherwise, a taxi is €60 each way! Coming to the more hysterical comments being made about there being a sickness bug or even a Novovirus outbreak with people throwing up all over the place, we can honestly say we have seen none of that for the whole 14 days that we have been here. I've heard some people speak of having an upset tummy for maybe a day, that's all. We ourselves had that, but within 24 - 36 hours it was gone and we put that down to different food, drink & sun, as is not unusual on holiday. Perhaps a little more drink than usual. The hotels public rooms, lounges and guests rooms are kept extremely clean. The building block we are in is quite new and close to the dining room, lobby bar, reception etc. The decor is nice with fantastic mosaics. The bedrooms are smartly fitted out with room safe, tv, individual air con, and a nice bathroom with a multiheaded shower which works very well. There is plenty of hot water too. One problem is that the wardrobes are too shallow in that they do not take the full width of a coat hanger with clothes. It then becomes difficult to close the wardrobe doors without trapping clothing. The staff work very hard on maintaining the cleanliness of the whole hotel and giving a good service from the lobby bar. The vast majority of staff are smiley, pleasant and very helpful The main buffet restaurant mostly serves a good choice of food to suit all tastes. Fresh fruits, fresh salads and 'hottish' meat and fish dishes. We make special mention of our main waiter, Thannos. He is dedicated and has a good sense of humour. We agree the food could be kept hotter than it is. Having the burners lit under the service tureens plus having hot plates would certainly help. The lunchtime service of food at the lower beach Restaurant bar (Olea) is exceptionally good. A wide choice is in the fully inclusive package. It's all cooked to order and served piping hot by professional, pleasant staff. Waiters, Spiridoula & Fofolees (Theodore) are exceptional in wanting to give

My sister and I stayed here for 10 nights at the beginning of September. We had booked and paid extra for a Superior Sea View room. The view from our room was spectacular (if you ignored the telegraph poles) but that was the only thing that was. Our room, in block 5, was dated and in desperate need of renovation, in our opinion. I have honestly never slept in a more uncomfortable bed, we ended up putting cushions under the mattress to try and level them out, it felt like you were going to roll out of the bed onto the floor. The cushions joined the folded dressing gowns put there, we assume, by housekeeping. We have stayed in many All Inclusive hotels across Greece and this is the first time we have ever experienced having to pay if we wanted premium drinks, or indeed menu items at lunch time. The holiday was sold to us as AI, that's not what we got. Paying 100 euros tax before we even checked in really stung, considering the underwhelming arrival/greeting. The mini fridge, inside the wardrobe, did not keep its contents cold, and the quality of the items inside was not great. This hotel is not suitable for people with mobility limitations due to the steep slope to get to the lower pool. Perfect for mountain goats !!! The upper pool, with the pool bar was popular for those wanting to get sloshed before lunch. The main restaurant was ok, and the food, whilst very basic, was edible. However there was no wow factor at all. Watching the staff fist bumping each other because they had sold another bottle of wine became a little wearing. The roof top bar had fabulous night time views however it has no air con, the heat was oppressive to say the least. We wouldn't go back to Mythos Palace as in our opinion it doesn't offer value for money and has none of the wow factors we look for in a 5 star hotel.

Plenty of positives about the hotel. Pretty much all the staff we met were very welcoming, attentive and professional so no concerns there at all. Everyone works very hard. Views from the hotel are spectacular, particularly from the roof-top bar. We really liked our room too and it was always well cleaned. I found the bed pretty hard even though there was a mattress topper, but to be fair to the hotel they will try and provide alternatives if you need them. Highly recommend the walking tour of the villages with Sophia who is an excellent and very knowledgeable guide. I think the hotel needs to promote this more as it was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Plenty of choice with food but I found the fish and some of the meat to be very dry. Salads were much better, although did notice a fly or two crawling on some of them at times. The rooftop restaurant, Uranus, didn’t provide a vegetarian option which is quite poor in this day and age. If you’re paying a premium for that kind of food you don’t just want a meal with the meat taken out. However, the Beach restaurant did provide a vegetarian option and it was very good. I’m not overly fussy about hotels (I never expected a five star experience) but the hotel didn’t deal with the sickness bug outbreak very well. A deep clean should have taken place as soon as the first cases became apparent. Instead it seemed like the hotel was in denial. My husband became terribly unwell due to this bug and I can’t help but feel that could have been avoided if the hotel had managed the situation in a better way. I hope the hotel learns from what happened and improves its procedures. We have since informed Jet2 who couldn’t seem less interested. All in all a very mixed experience.

I actually had a sleepless night before arriving this morning at this resort because I’d read some very bad recent reviews. I wanted a great experience because it was a surprise holiday I booked to celebrate my husband’s seventieth birthday. I needn’t have worried. It is a nice hotel in a stunning location and the staff are just wonderful. Very welcoming and friendly. Our room is spacious and clean and we’ve enjoyed the food so far. I think the variety of food on offer is really good. I’ve stayed in many 5* hotels over the years and would agree that this is probably not a 5* establishment but in my book that doesn’t detract from it being a very nice hotel. We’re looking forward to the rest of our stay

We have just got home after spending 3 nights in this Hotel after our Cruise...The food is very poor!! The food was only warm at best, our room was lovely and we liked the hotel and it's location for a weekend stay only, I wouldn't have stayed any longer than this and to think some people were here for 2 weeks....I've stayed in lots of 5 star hotels around the world and this hotel is 2/3 star at best.
