Good location for the old town. Rooms dated but to be expected. Staff were friendly and were happy to help!

Lovely hotel a 10 minute walk to The Liston and buzz of Corfu old town. Large rooms with verandah and sea views...Beautiful meticulous gardens and large pool. Food and beverages good and a delivered by a friendly staff. Most enjoyable stay- and great savings booked via Trip.com

The view from the room to the sea is stunning and we absolutely loved the balcony. The location is good, at the seafront with just a short 5 minutes walk to the old town. The room is clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is good and quite ample. Cleaning was of good quality and cleaning ladies were polite. But we don’t see how this would be a 5 star hotel as this seems more like a 4 star hotel. RESTAURANT: Most of the restaurant staff during breakfast and dinner were quite ignorant, only the older gentleman with grey hair was very attentive and gave 5-star level service. Other waiters forgot to bring us coffee completely during breakfast and after waiting for 30 minutes in vain we had to re-order it. The quality of dinner in the restaurant was okay, but didn’t quite correspond to our expectations in a 5 star establishment. Service was as unenthusiastic during dinner as during breakfast. RECEPTION: Only the woman at the reception is attentive, but other receptionists give quite mediocre and unenthusiastic service that is not quite 5 star level. Nobody is rude by any means, just a bit inattentive. ROOM: There was no personalized welcome gift in our room on arrival, as there should be in a 5 star hotel. There was no coffeemaker in the room. The room is quite cold and the heating doesn’t seem to work very well. During some rainy, cold spring days this was a bit inconvenient. The air conditioning on the other hand works well, which is great if you visit during hot summer days. WI-FI: The wi-fi wasn’t working very well in rooms during our stay, but it was extremely slow. We complained about it, but the receptionist man didn’t do anything about the issue to for a whole two days. He promised the problem will be solved during the next day, but nothing happened. The day after that, when we called the reception again, he promised to bring an extra modem swiftly, but nothing happened for two hours and only the receptionist woman finally brought it to us when we walked downstairs to the reception ourselves. SWIMMING POOL: The outdoor swimming pool was pleasant and we enjoyed our time by the pool. Unfortunately, it was closed already at 17.00, even though in April the weather was warm and sun was shining longer than that. It would have been nice to keep the pool open until 19.00. Thank goodness, starting from the 1st of May, they prolong the opening hours until 18.00. The pool had a lot of small tree branches, because it wasn’t cleaned daily. It would’ve been so easy to sweep them away first thing in the morning. Other than this, the hygiene and cleanliness level of the pool was good. There is also no gym or indoor pool area in a supposedly 5 star hotel. VIOLATING DO NOT DISTURB: One day we were inside the room, when the hotel phone rang. We just missed answering it when someone hung up. Soon after this, some member of the staff, a man entered the room with his own key, even though we had a Do not disturb-sign on the door. Incredible hotel, from the views across the bay looking out from your rooms to the excellence and attention of the staff, what's not to like, relaxing by the pool or enjoying a cocktail beneath the Venitian walls, and literally a few steps from the centre of Corfu Town, great hotel.

Excellent location just a few minutes walk from corfu town centre. Staff friendly and efficient BUT... hotel seems to regard paying guests as of no importance: a wedding reception was being held at the hotel which took over all the terrace where dinner is served. Guests at the hotel were relegated to crampt space around the outside bar which meant hotel guests couldn't use the bar for just a drink. I complained at hotel reception and was told 'it's only for one evening'. NOT a 5 star response.

A really beautiful hotel, with the most amazing sea views, that changed daily. The room was all as described ours had been updated and had wooden flooring and the marble bathrooms were spotlessly cleaned every day. It would be good if the shower curtains could be updated to a screen. The bed was comfy and the pillow menus are a nice touch. The main hotel is starting to date, but it still looks impressive. All staff were friendly and helpful from the poolside to the housekeepers If we had a ****** it’s with the restaurant. Service was mediocre at best, not what we’d expect for a 5 star hotel and food was good but again lacking 5 star quality and overpriced when compared to the many nearby restaurants.

I have been staying at this hotel for over20 years. It continues to impress. Very helpful staff and a good restaurant. wonderful view from the rooms. I will continue to visit and look forward to my next stay. Perfectly positioned for Corfu Town and all of the amenities.

We booked this hotel with Jet 2, first time travelling with them, for 10 night half board.. We had read the reviews and seen photos and decided to book as prime location as we were hiring a car from the airport. We arrived 12:30am due to flight delay, main door was either locked, not working or very slow, had to negotiate luggage through the manual revolving door. Check in was swift, no offer of refreshments, no door man or night porter. Rom was spacious, plenty of hangers, shelving but no drawers for smaller items. We had two single beds pushed together, personally found the mattress too hard with the pillows running a close second. No tea /coffee making facilities. Bathroom in dire need of refit, significant limescale and rust on tiles and around fixtures, stained . broken, cracked grouting and bath seal. However, both the room and bathroom were clean. Pool area well maintained, plenty of comfortable loungers and a very vigilant life guard. Restaurant buffet breakfast, usual offerings, continental , cereals and cooked, hot drinks made to order, staff efficient and polite. We never ate any evening meals so can not comment. On our 6th night, we were woken by unbearable heat in the room, the air con stopped working, we then realised that we had a power cut, the power was back on within 30 minutes of my husband going to reception. Not a disaster but an inconvenience as we were relying on our phones for sat nav as the one in our hire car did not work and we had to wait for our phones to charge, wifi is slow. Our last night we were woken again by the sound of running water, there was a steady stream of water coming out of the spot light in the bathroom. Fully appreciate that there's no maintenance at 3.30 am , we were given extra towels to catch the water. We decided for safety's sake not to switch the lights on in the morning. Overall impression, a tired and very dated hotel that needs an upgrade. On a positive note, the views are stunning, especially sunrise and the location is spot on.
