We expected a different type of facilities, but the service was good and attentive.

This hotel is a lovely quiet place to unwind. Plenty of space around the pool everyday! In fact. I don’t know where everyone goes during the day! The breakfast is fine, plenty to choose. I really enjoyed it. The room we had 346 was perfect with a small balcony that gets tea time sun. The beds are comfy, and good working showers. I read many reviews about how polite and friendly the staff were, and they really are!! You have a few restaurants and bars on the main road. All very nice. My only mild criticism is the grounds need some TLC, but this doesn’t define the place. Overall, a lovely holiday. Quiet, relaxed and not too expensive.

Having read some of the previous reviews my partner and I were slightly nervous about our stay here, especially as we were a late night arrival, we needn't have worried. Our transfer was to the door of the hotel we were not dumped on the main road as previous reviews have mentioned, so this must depend on the tour operator. We were met with a friendly and warm welcome by the reception staff, who were fantastic throughout the stay, offering us advice on how to get to Corfu town and what to do. Off we went to our room, which was an adequate size and had the air conditioning on, which was excellent and quiet compared to some hotels I have previously visited. The room was quite basic but clean and tidy, the beds are quite hard, which we like so it wasn't an issue for me or my partner. The bathroom was a good size, I found it odd that there were 2 drains in the floor for showers, I assume they left the original one there when they refurbished the room and added a new one in the new shower area. Flooding mentioned previously can be prevented by using the "eco" setting on the shower which is still plenty powerful. (Pull the lever one click rather than all the way). There were a few rough edges in the bathroom, the newish tiles had not been sealed around the ceiling or door frame but other than that it was pleasant. The pool area was clean and well kept in the main, there are a few cracked tiles but I can't recall ever going somewhere where there wasn't at least one. Sunbeds were plentiful, although there were different styles, possibly where they are only replacing broken ones as they break, no issue with that really and it's good for the environment. There was a pool bar which was generally open from lunchtime, I noticed that if the pool.bar was open then the inside one was closed and vice versa, but not really an issue as either was convenient. Breakfast was nice with a good variety, although the juices were not great and were more like squash. Staff again were excellent and were very efficient at cleaning up dirty plates and tables. Overall for the cost this is a very good hotel, if you want luxury and decadence then maybe the hotel across the road is for you... At 4 times the price. There is a busy road to cross but with the good old green cross code and a bit of patience occasionally it was never an issue and couldn't be heard from the hotel, even outside. Dassia beach is narrow but very beautiful, especially at night with restaurants along the front, but unless you want to pay for sunbeds this may not be the beach for you. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

At check-out we were suddenly charged €36 for a broken lamp shade, even though earlier the staff had told us everything was fine and that no extra costs would be added. This kind of surprise fee at the last moment feels dishonest and unfair. On top of that, the rooms were extremely noisy every sound from the corridor and neighboring rooms carried straight in, which made it difficult to rest. Luckily, we were moved to higher floor rooms later. In both our first and second rooms, the shower water didn’t drain at all, flooding the entire bathroom floor, and it was only fixed on the second-to-last day of our stay. I cannot recommend this hotel due to the lack of transparency and poor way of treating guests.

The staff here and very friendly and approachable. Very helpful. Rooms are clean but most things definitely need updating. They are mostly quiet but you can hear noise from other rooms sometimes. Good soundproofing from outside noises though. Grounds are kept clean though. Breakfast is what to be expected. I didn't very much like the area the hotel was in and wouldn't stay here again because of that, but that's not the hotel's fault. I found Dassia to be dirty, noisy with vehicles and dangerous due to the unruly road. Crossing the road is dicing with death. Barely any rubbish bins and lots of rubbish strewn everywhere and also cigarette butts. Also, if you plan to visit the beach please be mindful you probably won't get a sunbed. If you do, you will pay for it. The beach is dirty, lots of trash and the most cigarette butts I've ever seen in one place. Paleokastrista beach is also jam packed with people and not much cleaner either so save your money and stick by the pool in the hotel.

A good budget hotel and great value for the price paid. Breakfast is served from 7.30 to 10.30 and offers all your usual buffet options. All replenished regularly. Good coffee machines - two large coffee machines offering lots of different coffees (iced, espresso, latte, cappuccino) and a Douwe Egberts coffee machine. Would have liked fresh fruit juice (the juice was from a machine and was cordial, I think), but just a minor complaint. After breakfast we loved sitting outside on the terrace with a couple of coffees. Such a beautiful Mountain View! The hotel was spotless and all the staff were extremely friendly. The room was cleaned each day, with fresh towels and sheets changed every three days. Beds and pillows were comfy and the air con was great. Very quiet through the night so you got a good nights sleep. Fridge in the room was useful. Bathroom was small, but modern and clean with a decent shower. Tea and cofffee making facilities in the room were a nice touch. The verandah was tired and a bit glum, but we only used it to dry off towels and swim wear. A couple of evenings we just a took a bottle of wine (chilled in the fridge) to the hotel terrace and sat and chatted there. Never any problem finding a sun bed. Lots of young couples, who spent the day out and about exploring, returning late afternoon. Pool was large with a bar. Entertainment was four days a week, but we didn’t stay in the hotel in the evenings, preferring to eat out and then a grab a drink at The Woodpecker or The Family Inn on the way home. We paid £700, including flights, transfer and luggage so was great value for money.

A downright terrible experience. We won’t be returning. The room looked nothing like what we saw on the website!!. The site states that it has 4 stars and that it’s been renovated. We stayed on the 4th floor, and our room was just awful. It was very old, and there was a strange smell. There were ants all over the place in several areas of the room (on the 4th floor!). The bathroom was even worse. It was very small, and the photos on the website show that the 'shower' is in the bathroom with the toilet, but it’s 'enclosed' with a shower screen. This wasn’t the case in our bathroom. You enter the bathroom and find the toilet, a very old sink (not like the one shown on the website), and then a shower without any enclosure. When you shower, the entire bathroom gets wet. Additionally, there was an old foldable disabled chair in the ‘shower’. It just looked old and dirty. The beds were also awful. They were so hard that you end up with back pain. The room cleaners also put a bath mat on the toilet! That’s just gross. The breakfast was very disappointing. The selection wasn’t great. Corfu itself was lovely, and we definitely plan to return – but we will definitely NOT stay at Livadi Nafsika again!
