Dart Marina Hotel and Spa

Wow ! This place is amazing ! We booked a double room and it was more like a suite , with comfy beds and a cute seating area overlooking the amazing view . The staff were incredible from the lovely girl on reception who we had a really good laugh with to the charming staff in the restaurant. We loved this place and came away feeling throughly spoilt . The only pity was that we couldn’t stay longer and that it’s such a long way from where my friend and I live . I would highly recommend. Just make sure that you go for a good chunk of time .

This was a celebration w/e. We hoped to a high quality stay and boy did it deliver. A large chic room with enormous balcony looking over the Dart river. A bathroom to get lost in. Staff were very helpful in clarifying some small issues when the booking was made and at all times throughout the 3 night stay. The room had coffee machine and a good selection of teas, fresh milk in the fridge. A/C effective and not noisy. Breakfast was table service. A good selection of items. The berry compost with yoghurt was lovely. The full English was splendid the bacon and sausage were high quality and tasty. The scrambled egg was wonderful. The black pudding, available as an extra, was top rate. The coffee was near perfect. Gluten free needs were well provided for and the GF bread was worth eating. Parking was better than adequate. Accessibility to all parts of the hotel that I saw was good.

The room was lovely, comfy, the bed was superb, beautiful balcony overlooking the marina, river and ferry. Continual interest all day. Plenty of storage. The downside to the room was the bathroom, she loved it, he didn't because the hand basin was too far away from the mirror for shaving, although there is a seperate little mirror it was insufficient, and the rainfall shower just spread water everywhere else in the room. The dining room is small with the tables very close together, not possible to have a private conversation. The tables are very small, not at all practical especially at breakfast. The dinner menu could have been better. Some of the staff are very good, friendly and efficient and cheerful with it, other staff are dour and brusque and really come across as not enjoying their job. It's a shame really but it's the little things like this which put people off from returning.

Perfection Personified. We have been visiting this hotel for many years at one of it's busiest times. Dartmouth Music Festive. To say our visits have been a resounding success is an understatement. On all levels this hotel delivers. The staff are second to none - a tribute to the brand. The food is top quality served in a lovely environment overlooking the Dart. I am very well travelled - both personally and in business - and this is the only hotel that I simply cannot find any fault with. Why it is not 5*' is beyond me. Well done to all at Dart Marina - see you next May

Just returned from a two night break to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived until we left nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We were greeted with a happy anniversary by the lady on reception, which was a lovely personal touch. Plus, there was a note and bottle of prosecco waiting in our room. Breakfast was top-notch, with plenty of choice for hot and cold options, as you would expect in a 4-star hotel. We ate in the restaurant on one night, and the food was faultless though we both found the wine list a little disappointing and poor value.
