Waterfront House

This was a return visit to Waterfront House and John and Julie think about every detail, from homemade cookies on the tea tray to one of the best breakfasts we have had in a hotel( and we travel a lot) - the poached autumn fruits with natural yogurt was yummy and the locally sourced produce for the cooked breakfast is top quality. We stayed in the estuary room- stunning views of the water with cosy armchairs in the bay window! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! We look forward to coming back again.

We had a two day stay-a gift from our family for our special Anniversary. The weather was very mixed but we were made so comfortable at Waterfront house.We also had a lovely view from the harbour room-something to watch all the time.The choice for breakfast is great and beautifully served but most of all ,Jon and Julie are kind and thoughtful hosts.

Booked very last minute and what a brilliant find, we stayed in the Harbour room and view was fantastic, beautiful property throughout and room was fabulous, super comfy bed and breakfast was delicious, wouldn’t hesitate to come here again as we only stayed for one night but wished it was for longer, hosts are fantastic and make you feel very welcome

What can I say! It is very clear why they were awarded the best B&B in Devon. Julie & Jon are such a lovely couple, very helpful and personable, the place is spotless, beautifully decorated with attention to detail throughout and lovely personal touches. Delicious breakfast choices, would highly recommend, we will definitely be back.

No need for words the picture says it all. The room was exceptionally clean with everything you need for a comfortable sty. Breakfast was very good with cooked to order items of good quality. Bathroom was small but adequate for a short stay of a couple of days.

The owners are amazingly friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was of very high quality. And very lovely. The views in the harbour room were stunning. It is a great location for the pubs, restaurants and walking around the pretty town of Dartmouth. Would fully recommend and we plan to return in the future.

When we arrived, it became apparent that there was something wrong. I had booked for 2025 instead of 2024. Julie went above and beyond to find us somewhere else to stay in Dartmouth, with a room available at the guest house for our second night. Even though it was my fault, we were offered complimentary breakfast on the first morning. The Harbour room that we stayed in for the second nkght was immaculate and very clean. It had a view of the River Dart which was nice. Everything in the room appeared to be catered for, even down to low level lighting when walking in the bathroom. Overall, both Julie and Jon went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and I would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. As long as I book the correct year!!

Perfect in every way. Stayed in the loft room, very spacious, warm, clean with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The views over the dart were amazing. Not ideal for physically challenged people if stairs are a challenge, just two flights so no problem for most people. Super quiet and the perfect location. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful every step of the way. Looking forward to returning at the earliest opportunity.

Stayed here for two nights on a solo trip ion my motorbike. I wanted somewhere nice to stay but the Waterfront Hotel exceeded my expectation on every level. The hosts’ the room, the breakfast were all 5 star standard. If you can book a room as you will not be disappointed. Oh and the cookies!
