Stayed for two nights with a wedding group. We had a lovely time, room was cozy, staff were friendly, and food was good. Jess did a great job organising the wedding with everything going well on the day, and Tom the general manager was fantastic. Lots of ornaments, clocks and art give the building some character, and the location is stunning. I hope to come back soon.

We would like to thank the staff at the Two Bridges Hotel at Dartmoor for all their help and kindness when on Monday 6th January , we were caught out by the heavy snow and were unable to make the journey back to our cottage. They could not have done any more for us , they opened their doors for us and provided us with hot drinks and rooms free of charge for the night. Highly recommend the Hotel and the Staff. The staff and hotel were amazing and, despite being officially closed, accommodated two teenagers stuck overnight in the snow when their car couldn't handle the conditions to get out of the valley. Can't thank them enough for helping out those stranded and not even charging them to stay!

This stay was arranged as treat for me by my girlfriend. She chose the nicest suite of rooms which had plenty of place and full of old (in a nice traditional way) furniture and fittings. The room was warm and comfortable. The bed was superb! The bathroom, yes, it had a large bath (and shower) was luxurious, the water pressure very good and the water hot. When we arrived we enjoyed a drink and crisps in the lounge until our room was ready. After a walk up towards Wistman’s Wood, we had a lovely evening meal. The battered haddock was delicious and the service excellent. In the morning the breakfast in the restaurant was also excellent and the portions generous. Overall, the whole ambience and feel of our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. A lovely stress-free moment in our busy lives. Thank you to all the team!

The surroundings and setting of the hotel are lovely. However, when we walked up to the bar to order drinks, a red-haired woman (perhaps the manager) abruptly asked, "Are you staying here? Are you staying here? Because if you aren't, the bar is shut." We ended up apologizing for trying to spend our money there! Firstly, if the bar is closed, the staff should be trained to not serve customers after a certain time or to ask if they are staying at the hotel before taking orders. Secondly, a more polite approach would be appreciated, such as starting with "Excuse me..." Other members of staff were lovely

Met with friends for Christmas Roast Dinner. Six of us sat down to a fantastic meal, beautifully presented and great tasting. food. We had a table in the restaurant which was perfect. Staff were helpful and friendly. Probably one of the best Roast dinners I’ve ever had. Excellent value, will definitely be back. Thank you

There's a reason why plates were invented. So people didn't have to eat food off bits of slate. What's all that about? I'm only reviewing the tea and one plain scone I had which was served on a slate and so dry it crumbled into pieces when I tried to pick it up and eat it - all over my clothes and the carpet. It just wasn't the best food experience. Eating should be less about visual display and more about feeling comfortable. I'd have been a lot happier if I'd just had a simple white plate. That's all.

We had a great stay at this lovely hotel. The food was excellent, the service was first-class, and the views of Dartmoor are amazing. This is not the first time we have stayed at the Two Bridges and it never disappoints. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one and the location is absolutely beautiful.
