This was my 4th or 5th stay at the Kirketon.
Good hotel in a great location close to many dining options, coffee shops and gyms.
Rooms are comfortable with all you need for your stay and very quiet.

Short stay of 2 nights.
First night was not good due to other guests conversing loudly for most of the night.
The hotel management resolved this and relocated/upgraded us resulting in a good night's sleep for our second and final night.

Breakfast is very good and good service. If the opening hours open a little bit early such as 7.00 in the morning would be good.
In the bathroom , if the shower is movable would be much better than having it fixed on the roof top.

This hotel is not a 4 star experience. Be warned. There is no elevator, number one. Be prepared to carry your luggage(s) yourself. Next, the walls are so thin you hear everything from those around you. I was kept up all night the two nights I was there. The parties going on with unsavory guests until 2/3 in the morning (reception leaves at 11 so guests are unsupervised after). It does not feel safe with people outside your windows, shouting about. Next, the housekeeping team banging their trollies and vacuums about at 6/7 in the morning wake you up nice and early. The rooms themselves are old and dingy, without proper deep clean vacuuming done in ages. Corners full of dust, dirt and debris. Tables and surfaces sticky and not wiped down. Lack of space in the washroom to place toiletries or towels made it very cramped and uncomfortable. Shower curtain not long enough, makes the water flood the rest of the washroom every time you use it. The list goes on. Do not stay here if you want any sort of comfort or a good night sleep.

Try to avoid this so-called 4 stars hotel. The photos are real but photoshopped, or maybe ages ago. The room is small and old. Water leakage from Air con after turning off. No lift in the hotel and need to carry your luggage for 2 floors. Check out time is 10am...... Even I pay extra for late check out, after 12, the staff keeps calling and says I have to pay extra by minutes.... ridiculous service.
