It was great stay for 3 nights with family. Room was clean and spacious and the view from room was great. Service - everything was good and breakfast/dinner during the stay was good as well. Overall, a good stay with Istana.

Room rent is too high in respect of quality of room.
Welcome drink is not Darjeeling tea.
Serving of Darjeeling tea as welcome drink would be appreciated.

The stay was quite luxurious with a great view from the hotel room, ours was a semi-deluxe one and the hotel room was spacious It would have been good if it had an attached balcony.
The staff was welcoming and polite.
The washroom floors were very slippery, risky for older guests. Also they should provide a heater in the room as the temperature gets very low in Darjeeling. They do not provide AC so should provide a heater.
Overall the stay was very good. If I visit Darjeeling again I would pick Istana resort as my Stay!
