Darien Dockside Inn

Stayed one night before a teacher workshop on Sapelo Island. I had room 1. I chose it because it was on the end (less opportunity for noise) and more windows for light. It was a super cute place. Some of the walls were made of shells. Skippers is right across the parking lot and had really good food, especially the Cole slaw. Air conditioner was plenty cold for July. The lobby has a small kitchen with a microwave if you need it. My only complaint was the bed. It was way too soft with a dip in the center. WiFi worked great to stream Peacock app.

We really enjoyed staying here! The owner was very attentive to my questions and provided anything we needed! The Inn is conveniently located in the middle of town! I definitely want to go back again soon!! It is a great place for small groups to rent the entire Inn!!

Loved the quaint setting, charm of the small town and relaxing stay. A friend recommended staying here and we were pleasantly surprised. I agree with other comments about the noise from neighboring rooms, but the owners clearly explain it in their informational book in the room. Free breakfast sandwich or pastry at a local coffee shop within walking distance was a plus. Dinner at Skippers Fish Camp right next door was delicious. Enjoyed walking along the river and checking out Vernon Square. The room’s decor was cute with a nautical theme. We stayed in Room 1 - it appeared the other rooms had entrances from the balcony and lobby but ours was only from the balcony which was not a problem for us. You receive an email with the keyless entry code to the lobby and your room. Coffee, water and ice available 24/7 in the lobby.

Wonderful- great beds, great views and just overall a fun, comfortable quiet place to stay. We met family for the weekend. Very fun area to enjoy time with family or friends. We spent a weekend and plan to go back. It is a quaint little area we truly enjoyed.
