Didn't stay but used the Beach Facilities and Restaurant during the day Had Lunch a couple of times Food was absolutely delicious Staff are very Friendly Helpful Would highly recommend it Wasn't expensive and the two Sunbeds and shade were €10 And A drink service was Available

First solo trip and this hotel was perfect location for me. The room itself was fine and comfortable, although a little dated in places was kept very clean by staff . I had a semi basement room which was ok for me , I didn’t use the outside area with it due to being so close to pool and therefore could be noisy and often had ball hitting windows , not a real issue for me though. The hotel grounds are beautiful and location amazing. There is bus stop within walking distance takes you to Chania town . Only issue I would say was sunbeds and people putting towels on them to reserve them . On vacating my room there is place for freshening up and leaving suitcase .

We did enjoy our stay at Golden Bay. The apt was nice. There were a couple issues that would have made the stay nicer...One of the doors to the patio had only one hinge, so it couldn't safely be used. It should have had a sign on it for safety. That door also didn't have blackout curtains and make it hard for the kids to sleep because of the lights on the property all night. Didn't tell me until the last night. I thought it was just the sun in the morning. It would have been really nice if there had been dish soap and dish towels for the kitchen area. We did use the kitchen. It worked fine. The pool area is nice, and the loungers have the best cushions, but so limited and not enough shade. At the beach you pay 10 Euro for 2 loungers and an “umbrella". We went out to try one morning, but all were already taken. We didn't try again. Food at the restaurant was good but took a while and sometime took a while to be recognized by staff to order if not sitting in the restaurant. They do work long hours and are pretty busy. Water is less expensive if you take away. We got lucky with parking. It wasn't too bad during the week, but weekends can be harder to get a spot. It is a public lot for the beach. Other restaurants and grocery in walking distance.

Perfect location within walking distance of lots of great restaurants. The beach is perfect. Nice soft sand and easy access. The pool is beautiful as well and very well maintained. Always very clean. The restaurant on site is not owned by the hotel but great food and awesome service at reasonable prices. The front desk staff are extremely helpful and accomodating as well. The only real bad thing about the whole place are the beds. They are very hard and very uncomfortable. If they replaced those it would be perfect.

Nice place, old furniture in the rooms, but ok for staying few nights. Best thing is on the beautiful beach Worst, even if you pay the room they ask for money for the sunbeds. After 2 days of rainy days we ask to stay for another 3 nights and they ask almost double the price (63 to 110 € ight).

Excellent Food and Service. We stopped by for lunch. We had been using the sun beds in front of the bar and the menu looked good. We could also order to the sun beds if we wanted. We decided to go to the beach bar. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and we had a lovely time. We will be visiting again
