Hotels Near Parokia Ya Vingunguti in Dar Es Salaam

We stayed at Hotel Blue Sapphire for two weeks. We love it and highly recommend it! There were three of us and one had his own room while two of us shared a room. It is not far from the airport so a great location. The rooms: we had two beds, a king and a full, no pull out beds. We had plenty of charging stations and a sitting area with two cushioned chairs and a sofa. There was a writing desk, a fridge, and a kettle for boiling water. Great shower and a western toilet (we liked that!). The service: every time the cleaning staff came in they not only made our beds, they cleaned and sanitized the bathroom and left us with plenty of bottled water. They replenished the coffee, tea and powdered creamer. The staff at the front desk were always friendly, despite the many copies requests I sent down to them for our room! There is a business center and a gym. There is also a laundry service. If you drop off your clothes in the morning they bring them to your room that night. The manager is friendly and always asked for feedback and was always helpful. They took great care of us! Security: this hotel has a manned gate and 24 hour armed security officer. We felt safe and were confident that our belongings in our rooms were in good hands. The restaurant: a hot breakfast buffet with eggs to order was included with the room. We typically ate dinner there at the attached Sugar & Spice Restaurant. The hotel has a definite Indian flavor and a large menu of Indian cuisine with a chef specialized in that fare. Despite that, they were sensitive to my cumin allergy. I stayed away from that part of the menu and I was fine. The manager and staff were fantastic every time, with rare hiccups. The food was amazing and we kept coming back! Highly recommend this hotel! Update: Our group stayed here again this year (2023) and my wife came with me this time. I was happy to share this experience with her. We loved our room and the staff. The hotel staff often left little decorations on our bed. Such a sweet touch!

My experience was good. I was looked after from the airport to the hotel. The reception was excellent. The meals, the friendliness of the staff, the cleaning were excellent. Just a situation of water running in the bathroom, in the room I was in, that almost caused a serious accident. But, the stay was great.

The staff were very pleasant, helpful and always doing their best to make the guests comfortable. The rooms were very cozy and clean, with working TV, mini fridge and aircon. The toilets were very clean and sanitized and towels also smelled like they have been washed well. I liked that the hotel was in the middle of the city with close access to a variety of important places, restaurants and shopping. What i didn't like though was that there was a lot of noise around my room as cleaning staff were busy cleaning other rooms and making lots of noises and banging doors. Also i was in a non smoking room and i could smell smoke coming from other rooms. I asked for reception to change my room, which they did.

The room was clean, clean linens. The room has a TV. The bathroom is clean, the plumbing is new, there is hot water. From the port 20 minutes walk. There is a KFC nearby.

There is a big gym next to it, and there are many people working out, but there are always construction noises outside the two days I live, I ca n’t stand two bowls

I had the pleasure of dining at Mediterraneo Hotel, and it was an unforgettable experience. The room is damp, the clothes can't be dried after three days of washing, the sun can't shine, and the so-called interior scene can't be seen, the room is clean. The room size is also ok. The seafood in Karambezi restaurant is good, the desserts are also good, the environment is good, and you can see the sea for breakfast! The swimming pool is also clean, the gym equipment is okay, the service from the waiters is good, and there is a beach next to it. If you bring your family, you must watch the sea. It's amazing. You can listen to the sea at night and watch the sea during the day , breakfast and dinner can see the sea

The staff especially Latifah at the reception were amazing. Everyone was polite and the hotel is clean. I certainly enjoyed my bday vacay with them. Only issue I had was with my flights with Air Tanzania, to which Rita ta reception tried to help, but also the hotel lines to the airline went unanswered. Grateful for the lovely staff.
