Hotels Near Masjid Mitungi in Dar Es Salaam

We stayed at Hotel Blue Sapphire for two weeks. We love it and highly recommend it! There were three of us and one had his own room while two of us shared a room. It is not far from the airport so a great location. The rooms: we had two beds, a king and a full, no pull out beds. We had plenty of charging stations and a sitting area with two cushioned chairs and a sofa. There was a writing desk, a fridge, and a kettle for boiling water. Great shower and a western toilet (we liked that!). The service: every time the cleaning staff came in they not only made our beds, they cleaned and sanitized the bathroom and left us with plenty of bottled water. They replenished the coffee, tea and powdered creamer. The staff at the front desk were always friendly, despite the many copies requests I sent down to them for our room! There is a business center and a gym. There is also a laundry service. If you drop off your clothes in the morning they bring them to your room that night. The manager is friendly and always asked for feedback and was always helpful. They took great care of us! Security: this hotel has a manned gate and 24 hour armed security officer. We felt safe and were confident that our belongings in our rooms were in good hands. The restaurant: a hot breakfast buffet with eggs to order was included with the room. We typically ate dinner there at the attached Sugar & Spice Restaurant. The hotel has a definite Indian flavor and a large menu of Indian cuisine with a chef specialized in that fare. Despite that, they were sensitive to my cumin allergy. I stayed away from that part of the menu and I was fine. The manager and staff were fantastic every time, with rare hiccups. The food was amazing and we kept coming back! Highly recommend this hotel! Update: Our group stayed here again this year (2023) and my wife came with me this time. I was happy to share this experience with her. We loved our room and the staff. The hotel staff often left little decorations on our bed. Such a sweet touch!

We stayed here after an overland tour and couldn’t have been more impressed with service and kindness. The Hotel is ideally located in downtown Dar. The room was ideal with a good shower and air conditioning. The included breakfast was also excellent with friendly staff and great choice of local foods. We had a late flight change and were offered a late check out and an easy reorganisation of our airport transfer. We recommend this Hotel and after visiting over 100 countries feel it is up there with the best.

The location is very good, a five-minute drive from the ferry port of Zanzibar Island. There is a Chinese restaurant downstairs, which tastes good and the price is moderate.

My experience was good. I was looked after from the airport to the hotel. The reception was excellent. The meals, the friendliness of the staff, the cleaning were excellent. Just a situation of water running in the bathroom, in the room I was in, that almost caused a serious accident. But, the stay was great.

The room was clean, clean linens. The room has a TV. The bathroom is clean, the plumbing is new, there is hot water. From the port 20 minutes walk. There is a KFC nearby.

Location is very convenient and accessible to city centre. Rooms are much comfortable and spacious. Staffs are cooperative and professional. Breakfast was amazing with lots of variety and local fruits. Infinity swimming pool is also amazing.

I have been ordering cakes for various celebrations and it has always been an awesome experience with friends and families enjoying the cakes. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Chef Pankaj who recently made the doll cake for my little princess just the way I wanted and making it very special for her. The taste was absolutely awesome too. I have never gone wrong ordering cakes from Four Points and highly recommend. One of the best cake place in town. The hospitality and customer care at the reception is also very friendly and cooperative.

It‘s a fairly new hotel and part of Marriott Bonvoy. I enjoyed to stay there a lot, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet is nice and with various options. The pool has a nice size, however lacking a view. Talking about view, some rooms have nice sea view. Others have pool view but you also see the green landscape which is nice too. The rooms are pretty big, kind of small TV though, but they feel very comfortable and the bed is great too. Also USB and an international power plug at the night stand, which still a lot of other hotels don‘t have. Rooms are cleaned very well. The gym is very basic, only machines for cardio and a few weights. Ate dinner at the restaurant several times and always got good food. There is an area called Slipway just 5 walking minutes away, that also provides great food options and a bit of nightlife.

Angel in housekeeping has been so helpful and kind. Daily our beds, floors and bathroom were cleaned to perfection in room 7. She came daily in with a beautiful smile ready to reach his new words for the day. When she left there were flowers on our beds. Thank you and we’ll be returning again.
