Atour hotel is in a walkable distance from Danyang railway station. I find the hotel very clean and the service was excellent. When I was sitting in reception, Atour employee offered me water without asking. Special mention about the Manager Mr Wang Dong who could speak English and helped me guiding on local transportation. When I called him in the evening for some clarification, he picked up the phone even though he is out of office and answered my questions. Great friendly staff. I liked the breakfast also

Although this hotel has a good facility, its management left me with very bad impression. First, it asks customers to pay unreasonably large amount of deposit though the hotel room has been fully paid. I booked three rooms with two of them fully paid and one unpaid for three nights. I was asked to pay 4000 yuan though the room rate is ~ 650/night. This sounds strange to me compared to other hotels I have stayed. Second, I forgot to return two room key cards and didn’t realize this until I arrived in the train station. When I called the hotel, I was told I will be charged 50 yuan for each unreturned key cards, or they could not give me the deposit until I mail the key cards to them. I have never heard of such an unfriendly policy for any modern hotels. Overall, I didn’t get good experience at this hotel.

The best value for money in Danyang, Zhenjiang and Changzhou areas I received a client from Hong Kong. Initially, the client didn’t have much expectations for the hotel. However, he stayed for one night and asked me how much it would cost. I said it was more than 300. The client should leave the next night, so he insisted on staying another night and said it was based on this. The level of more than 300 is really a good deal. The hotel is clean, the air conditioning is cool, and the service is very good, especially Xiao Xu and Xiao Shu at the front desk, who are simply attentive. There are hand towels, water, fruits, and various small items at the front desk. There are also free noodles for late night snacks. The attitude of the breakfast service staff was also very good, which almost made me feel embarrassed. There is a projector in the double bed room, which is great for watching movies. In short, whether you are traveling for business or family, if you come to Danyang, Meihao is the right place to come. The lady at the front desk asked me to help write a good review.
