Note hotel is BEHIND Black Bear Diner. Stayed in #210 family suite, no elevator. Loved the quiet (no rooms around it!) and location very convenient. Room was comfortably large but bathroom rather tight, good toiletries but oddly no hand/body lotion? W2W carpet in poor shape, definitely needed replacement as it had huge ripples in it from being vacuumed. Decor colors rather dreary. Parking easy altho layout is somewhat confusing at first. But not much choice in Danville, unfortunately.

Rooms I requested were patio rooms. 1 was ready the other delayed then when given the key the room was clearly still occupied Then the 2nd room was moved to the 2nd floor no where near the other family room. At check out we’re accused of breaking a window!

This hotel has interior rooms that are quiet and just wonderful. Book a patio room, I stay at this hotel every time I travel to the area. Excellent price, includes breakfast and a gym pass.

The property was very clean, well lighted, VERY quiet, and the parking lot was secure and well illuminated. Front desk staff members were very nice and attentive to requests for housekeeping during our extended stay.

Staff was great, room clean and nicely appointed, breakfast very nice. On a frontage road next to freeway; our room was on opposite side from freeway and we had no freeway noise.

The hotel was very clean, and staff was kind and attentive. However, several guests weren't observant of quiet hours. Also, one of the two cooling units in the room was so loud when it turned on. It sounded like a space ship was trying to land.
Lastly, the lights outside in the parking lot were very bright, which is fine, but the blackout curtains don't close all the way, so we were stuck with a loud a/c unit, and bright lights, which didn't make for a super restful night.
Everything else was great though. Breakfast was delicious, the amenities were good.

The best part of this property was the personnel. All were very helpful and kind, particularly the gentleman who was on duty the early mornning of Dec 14. My limo ride had been cancelled and I had to get to SFO airport. I don't know his name but he was wonderfully kind and effecient in getting me a taxi. I thought this was above and beyond what a desk clerk would do. He saved me from a great deal of stress. Kudos to him!

Very nice location in Danville with easy access to the freeway. The property itself was dated and had the usual musty smell that many old motels have, but the price was very reasonable. The carpets were dirty, but everything else was clean. The free breakfast was a very nice, convenient start to our day as well. Thank you to the staff for the kind service.
