Helen Troya feels more like a comfortable retreat than a hotel. It has a cafeteria-style restaurant (but the food is very good) and lots of sports facilities, including an outdoor pool. The room and the bathroom are big and come with a balcony, and the interior is slightly old-style, which I liked. Both the private and common areas were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you have a car, Helen Troya can be a good base for visiting the ruins of Troy and its museum, which are a 30-minute drive from the hotel. You can easily park your car in the outdoor parking.

We continue to stay at the hotel. We were hesitant because of the negative comments, but the negative comments do not reflect the truth. We had booked a 3-night bed and breakfast, so we extended it for 5 more nights. The pool is large enough and very clean. The breakfast buffet is sufficient, there are local and quality products, and the handmade pastries are wonderful. Well done to the sisters. The rooms are spotlessly clean and large enough. The garden is magnificent, the landscaping is beautiful. We were very comfortable with our small breed dog. All the staff are smiling and very attentive. A beautiful, peaceful hotel.
