Lovely hotel, 5 minutes walk from the river and view of the tombs. We stayed half board so buffet breakfast in the morning (freshly made omelettes, pancakes and cereal etc.) with a set menu for the evening meal (soup to start followed by meat, veg, potatoes/rice and a selection of cold salads etc.) They put the evening meal on the board in the morning so you can see what is on offer. The chef was very friendly and the serving staff very nice. They also do good snacks for lunch. We were in the main hotel block but they have another block diagonally across the road from the hotel entrance, I believe they are the deluxe rooms. There is a pool at the main hotel, but I think the pool across the road is nicer (although neither were heated so it takes a lot of time to get in!). Dalyan is lovely! We did lots of local walks. We got the rowing boat across the river (from near Saki on the main promenade) and walked to the left by the tombs (they weren’t open and I’m not sure whether they are permanently closed?) to Kaunos ancient city. It’s an amazing place with a crumbling amphitheater. We went to turtle beach twice and walked the length of the beach (4km?). Getting the bus one way and the taxi boat the other. You should definitely go on a boat, it’s a lovely trip. I thought the bus end of the beach was nicer but there’s not a lot in it. The sea was very warm and it was £3 for a sun lounger - bargain! We spoke to a couple of ex pats who had retired to Dalyan and I can see why, it’s a fantastic place!

My stay here was amazing. The food was incredible and everyone was so nice!! The room gets cleaned daily and the pool is always the perfect temperature! They saw on my ID that it was my birthday and they went out of their way to bring me a cake during dinner! They even gave us tea and a lunchpacket for on our way back home which really shows how sweet and thoughtful they are. Everything was very comfortable and the people working here are also very kind! Thanks for everything and we’ll be back next year!

Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks just got home our stay was very good the hotel its self is very clean they clean your room every day fresh towels and bedding ,the staff are very attentive and friendly and cant do enough to make your stay enjoyable. The pool area is immaculate and so pleasant the pool and snack bar are very good value and great for children good variety of snacks and meals . We had breakfast and dinner on our stay and was lots of different foods to have salad buffet , boiled eggs ,pancakes and omelette was most popular . The evening meal was a set menu each night on the board which varied from night to night which was also good value . There was always sunbeds available and if it did get a bit busy they would always get you some . It was very relaxed and laid back . We also did a boat trip which was an amazing day which the manager of the bar arranged . It is about a 5 min walk in to the main town as it was very hot we did get a taxi a few times which was very reasonable at 3 pound s .all in all I would recommend anyone who wants a peaceful relaxing time to not hesitate to book this hotel we all feel so refreshed . Thanks again for making our stay a memorable experience .

Just had 8 nights here and the other reviews are well justified. It's a great little hotel. Location is great, a short walk to centre in a quite suburb. Couple and family friendly, nice relaxing environment. Good size rooms with mini bar, hair dryer, aircon, safe, pool and bathing towels, Room freshened everyday with towel and bedding changed every three. I can see why alot of reviews are from revisiting travellers. I would mark it as 5/5 but a few things in my opinion let it down (but only slightly) We were half board, breakfast is salad, breads etc the only hot food is anything egg based, fried, scrambled, omelette etc cooked to order which is great but its the same every day, we were a bit egged out by the end of the stay. Breakfast drinks are tea, coffee or water, if you want juice this is chargeable. Evening meal is set menu and dished up for you by the chef, there is one choice, soup then a main course ( generally spicy meat and rice) for hot or you can choose salad and cheese. One evening my wife did not like what had been served and the manager and chef did offer to cook something else but by then we were on our way out. Tables are arranged based on your group size so you are somewhat restricted to where you can sit. Senior staff more welcoming than the younger waiting staff, nothing wrong with the service at all but they could do with leaning how to smile every now and again. They do give you a bill every morning for anything you have had they day before such as drinks around the pool etc, there is no pressure to immediately pay this and I think this system works well, just perhaps keep an eye on what your charging to your room. Sounds like a bit of a moan but the food is nice, fresh and hot just a bit lacking in choice that's all. The size of the hotel means even when full its not too busy. Would we stay here again......yes we would, perhaps in the other half over the road I hear that's a little more plush? You shouldn't be disappointed if you choose this one!

I have just returned from my sixth visit to this hotel. The fact that the hotel has so many return guests speaks volumes. As always, I received a warm welcome from Basar and his team who work tirelessly to ensure that their guests are well looked after. The hotel is well maintained and kept extremely clean. The breakfast is the best I have had at any of the hotels in which I have stayed in Dalyan, with a wide range of options including omlettes, fried eggs and pancakes which are cooked to order and delicious homemade jams. Although I did not eat in the hotel in the evening, it is an option which many of the guests choose to do. The rooms are spotless and well equipped with tv, fridge. hairdryer, air-conditioning and safe. Pool towels are also provided. Although the hotel is situated in a quiet area, it is only a short 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Dalyan and the boats/dolmus to the beach. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will certainly be visiting again soon.

Lovely place to stay, ideal location, clean rooms and friendly staff. Good selection of food for breakfast, and they also do a buffet in the evening for an extra charge.

A lovely, lovely hotel. Great rooms, walk in showers. Very clean. Great food. Close to town. Can’t wait to return. Staff were lovely. No complaints whatsoever. Decent breakfast and lunch. Had an omelette every day. Dalyan is beautiful & well worth visiting.

We visited the Basar Otel for the third time in May and it was still as wonderful as our visit before Covid. Basar and his team can’t do enough for you. The hotel is immaculately clean and the food is always freshly cooked with mostly home grown foods by an excellent chef. We look forward to returning in September.
