Portakal Hotel Dalyan

Portakal Hotel is amazing. The staff are all so friendly and treat you like family. Ali in reception is brilliant and Metab (sorry if I agitated the name wrong!!) the manager is so kind. She even came to say goodbye when I left. The breakfasts are the best I’ve had in Turkey….different every day and something for everyone. Big thanks to Zerrin the lovely chef. The pool area is lovely and never a fight for sun beds. I loved the garden by the river. Such a lovely place to relax and watch the boats go by. There is a boat to the beach right by the hotel and a ferry across the river. The only downside is not being able to use a kettle in your room. I tend to wake up early and missed my early morning cuppa, but apart from that, it was all lovely. Thank you to all at Portakal for making my holiday so perfect. See you again next May/June

Stayed at the Portakal Hotel for 8 days. What a lovely hotel. Newly refurbished rooms which were very comfortable and spacious. Mehmet on reception was so helpful and welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Ramz on bar was terrific and great fun to talk to. Owner Meta introduced herself and was always around if needed. Breakfast was abit scarce some days but considering there was only 7 of us in hotel out of season there was sufficient food . Would definitely recommend. Garden area great to chill out and pool great too.

Just got back from a 4 night break at Dalyan Portakal Hotel , beautiful! Stunning hotel with a lovely garden attached to use which we sat in most evenings! About a 15 minute walk to get right into the centre but a very easy walk which we did numerous times a day. Right by the river and easy to hop onto a boat to the beach Lovely staff , cannot fault anything x

How is this place only 3*??? This hotel is by far one of the most authentic, quaint -hotels I’ve stayed in. The vines on the terraces, the river literally on the doorstep, the beautiful clean rooms, the helpful & friendly staff, the central location, the garden (that I loved to sleep the afternoons away in on the hammock)…. I honestly could go on - everything mentioned was PERFECT!!! Dalyan town is minutes walk away and has everything you need. Every bar and restaurant you walk past, you’re greeted with a smile and a wave. Gone are the days abroad where they will drag you in and hound you to get into their establishments. Wasn’t hustled or mithered by anyone, anywhere. Was literally met by happy workers, locals and holidaymakers every place we visited. If you want a holiday that makes you emotional as it’s so beautiful and seemingly untouched with originality but has endless choice of places to eat, chill and watch the world go by venues. Look no further than Dalyan. Extra bonus for me was all the cats that live as strays are treated humanely, given names by the restaurants and fed daily by the restaurants. I’m a massive animal lover and to see none suffering and looking well-loved melted my heart. I didn’t have a meal anywhere without a little kitty cuddle (the cats leave you alone unless you approach them). Needless to say I was picking them up and they would sit with me for hours and I was in my element. I will be visiting again and of course wouldn’t stay anywhere else other than Portakal hotel

What a stunning property! The gardens are beautiful and overlook the river. The pool area is bright and clean with lots of sunbeds and a bar. The hotel is spotless and the staff are kind, friendly and professional. A big thank you to the guy on reception! Breakfast is standard Turkish and good. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with good quality linen and a decently sized bathroom. Book a terraced room downstairs if you like to sit out , as upstairs rooms have no balcony. It is a pleasant walk into town in April, but may be a bit too far to walk in the heat of July and August. We will certainly stay again!

Can’t rate it highly enough. Loved the hotel, lovely friendly staff. Many happy memories. Always plenty of space round the pool. Perfect location in easy walking distance of Dalyan with lots of local restaurants on the way which we chose to support above the town centre options. All very welcoming.

Fantastic 10 night stay from start to finish clean rooms great family and nothing is a problem to them great on reception. Always space round pool 10/10 no balcony on second floor so get a terrace on ground floor if you like sitting outside with ya coffee in the morning

A hotel you can feel the peace and calmness in the first night of your holiday. Me and my family are very pleased with its helpful staff, the healthy service of food and the natural and historical beauty of the location, Dalyan. We recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to forget about the problems of daily life and relax a little bit.
