It was okay. Not scary, but not great. The sheets/bedding seemed clean. The beds were mostly comfortable but one seemed shaky/broken and therefore made terrible noises every time you even slightly moved. Large rooms, large mini-fridge. But everything seemed partly broken, partly run-down, and kind of dirty. Front desk staff was helpful and polite. Breakfast was not really breakfast. As a family, we only book hotels that offer a “hot breakfast” because it’s added value to our travel- no extra money/time stopping for breakfast... but that didn’t happen here. Bad waffles from one waffle iron, plain Cheerios, and corn flakes. Period. That’s it. Still had to stop for breakfast as a family after we left. Overall: okay, but probably wouldn’t stay here again.

My daughter and I were just driving through and needed a quick room for the night. I didn’t want to spend much, so I looked at reviews and saw this Howard Johnson had recent reviews that were good, so we took a chance. We usually stay at other chains, but their prices were $60-$80 more per night and all we needed was a clean place to sleep. The hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised at how cute it was decorated. The front desk clerk was welcoming and friendly, property was well lit and I loved that we parked right outside our door. We felt safe and the room was very clean and quiet, beds were super comfortable. There was an outdoor pool that we didn’t have time to use, but looked nice. We didn’t see what they had for breakfast as we drove over to Panera. There are so many restaurants and fast food within a couple of minutes from the motel. We will for sure stay here again when traveling through. I highly recommend- great value!
