Indigo Hotels in Dali

We chose this hotel because the location is amazing. Our room is facing erhai lake. We can see sunset and sunrise every day. Next to this hotel there's a restaurant that we like and not far from it there's a delicious Thai restaurant. You can walk along the road and enjoy the lake and mountain view. The downside is this hotel does not come with a pool and almost no one can speak or understand English.

The hotel I stayed in this time can be said to have performed well in all aspects, which left a deep impression on me. Below I will share with you my evaluation of this five-star hotel. First of all, the location of the hotel is very superior and the transportation is convenient. It is located in the center of the city, very close to major attractions and business districts, within walking distance to the subway station, and very convenient for public transportation. This saves a lot of time and energy for us tourists. Secondly, the hotel's facilities and services are also impressive. The air conditioner in the room is very effective, the cooling effect is obvious and the noise is extremely low, allowing us to enjoy a comfortable accommodation experience in the hot summer. At the same time, the sound insulation effect of the hotel is also very good, even in the bustling city center, we can have a quiet night. In terms of sanitation, the hotel is kept very clean, whether it is the sanitation of the room or the sanitation of the public areas, it is very good. Our group is very satisfied with the sanitation of the hotel. In addition, the hotel also provides convenient parking services. Although the surrounding parking spaces are limited, the hotel still tries its best to meet our parking needs, so that we don't need to worry about parking problems. Last but not least, the hotel's network is very stable and fast, allowing us to easily complete work or enjoy entertainment while traveling. In general, the performance of this five-star hotel is very good. We are very satisfied in terms of location, facilities and services, and hygienic conditions. Dali was a relatively unfamiliar name to me. From the temporary station in Dali to the entrance of the Pullman Hotel, everything seemed indistinguishable from other small to medium-sized cities. However, during my two-day stay at this hotel, I encountered the attentive Beata at the front desk, the ever-smiling and enthusiastic Felix in the lobby, and the kind-hearted driver Xiao Bao. They truly made me feel at home. Thanks to the recommendations of Felix and Beata, we were fortunate to have Xiao Bao as our guide for a day trip around Erhai Lake. Like many other tourists, we admired Cangshan Mountain, enjoyed the views of Erhai, tasted Xi Zhou Baba, got sunburnt, and took some mediocre photos—memories that might fade over time. Perhaps I won’t often recall the stories Xiao Bao shared about the history of the Dali Kingdom, the transformation of Yunnan’s war god into a mythical creature, or the customs of the Bai people’s weddings, the local treasures, and peculiarities. But what Xiao Bao left us with was a deeper connection and more unforgettable memories. I will remember how Xiao Bao passionately and vividly introduced his hometown to us. I will remember how he diligently and safely drove us for nine hours in one day, enduring the scorching sun while showing us the scenic spots around Erhai. He gave us a beautiful day. He added warmth and color to Cangshan and Erhai, bringing out an unparalleled shade of blue, perhaps the same deep indigo blue that the Bai people cherish. Though our two days in Dali were short, they were filled with meaning, leaving me with a sense of longing as I departed. I believe I will remember Dali for a long time, and I will fondly think of the people I met here. I hope Dali’s sun is gentle, so Xiao Bao’s sensitive skin feels more comfortable. Thank you, Xiao Bao, and the Pullman staff who took care of us these past two days. Dali, I will often think of you. Because of you all, this place is truly wonderful and beautiful and memorable.

Pusu is so beautiful in every way! It’s located right next to Erhai lake, spacious outdoor decking area, to enjoy the view. A lovely lobby, delicious breakfast and afternoon tea. Their rooms are clean and quiet. Pusu team is amazing. All the staff are friendly and attentive throughout the entire trip. Travelled with mum and dad, we had a wonderful stay. Special thanks to Xiao Luo, 小罗 our butler. He took good care of us. Definitely a 5 star experience. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel located in a quiet alley. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I reached early and they were helpful in arranging for a room for me to check into. I did notice ants crawling on the headboard, and the toilet was not flushed. My room was on the 1st floor and both mornings I was awakened by loud voices from other guests. This is also about 1km walk to the center of the old town - manageable for me since there’s plenty to look at. Overall a good stay for the price paid.

Very nice B&B, the owner is very nice. Sleep is really the most important thing when you go out to play. I am more particular about my bed, but the mattress here is really comfortable, the bedding is also great, and the pillow height is just right. The room faces Erhai Lake, and you can see the sunrise when you open the curtains in the morning. The room is very clean and refreshing. The stay experience is very good. I will definitely come again next time!

We enjoyed our stay here. It was in the quiet part of the old town and close to the road where you could get a taxi out. Very convenient. Service was also great and the staff helped us out with some challenges we had with the Chinese online booking systems eg for train tickets. The soundproofing didn’t bother us so much as it was low season so not a lot of noise. The only tiny thing was that there were ants in the room so you couldn’t leave food lying around and had to be careful where you left your belongings.

This hotel is a relaxing oasis just off the bustling streets of the ancient town. The location was perfect to walk everywhere and the hotel itself was really lovely, homely and uniquely laid out, all the rooms seemed to be a little different and had their own delightful particularities. The owners were super helpful and accommodating, even giving us a free room upgrade (comfiest bed I’ve slept in in a while!) and helping out with finding us places to covid test and answering any questions we had about the town. We ended up spending quite a bit of time at the pool because the atmosphere was so relaxing and we even made friends with the hotel dog ‘General’. A great place to experience Dali from!
