Service: The service was decent. They went the extra mile to reserve a parking spot for us and even upgraded our room. However, there were no welcome fruits or turndown milk. Ambiance: As pictured, it was truly comfortable staying here during the off-season. The bed was large and soft. While you can see the sea, it's across a road, and there was a bit of noise from passing cars at night. Cleanliness: The bathroom facilities were pretty standard, and the toiletries weren't from any major brand, but it was spotlessly clean, which was its main selling point.

My first trip to Yunnan and I'm spoilt by the hospitality at Shanshui. Even before the trip, 陈姐 had been answering my queries and helping to coordinate my train station pickup. We arrived to a pleasant offer to upgrade our room which we didn't hesitate to accept as we had travelled more than 12 hours to reach Shuanglang from Singapore. We were welcomed by tea and welcome gifts, followed by a sumptuous afternoon tea which we enjoyed while marveling the seaview from our balcony. While the room is a little oldish, it is more than compensated by the nice thoughts put into the amenities provided - proper toothbrushes, face masks, steam eye masks, laundry detergent, pail, toilet seat cover etc etc. The attention to details is testament of a good management by 陈姐。Breakfast is prepared with love, has lots of varieties and equally delicious. They just keep feeding us! They also assisted us with our luggage which was a great help. Overall it was a very nice stay that left us with very good impression.

Shuanglang Ancient Town is a few minutes away. Afternoon tea, flower cakes are definitely good to take pictures and delicious. The breakfast is super rich! Every housekeeper is good, the service is warm and thoughtful, and no suitcases were picked up from getting off the car to leaving. The door of the hotel needs to swipe the room card except for the time when you just check in. This makes the hotel very private. In addition, the hotel does not have a restaurant open to the public, so there will be no guests from outside coming to the public area of ​​the hotel to take pictures and check in. The whole holiday feeling is full. The butler will help with the luggage when checking in and out, and will introduce the public areas and rooms when checking in.
