Oh my god, I randomly stumbled upon this hidden gem of a homestay and it’s an absolute game-changer!
It’s just a 5-minute walk from Dali Ancient Town, and getting a taxi to other places is a breeze. Like, transportation here couldn’t be more convenient!
The place is straight-up stunning—so peaceful, chic, and seriously, it’s a photographer’s dream! I’m not even joking, you’ll be snapping pics non-stop!!!! Every corner screams Instagram-worthy!!!!!! Did I mention it’s perfect for photo ops???? 😂
And get this—the owner’s got a whole stash of great wine, the service is excellent, and their coffee? Holy moly, it’s mind-blowing! I was so not expecting that. For real, this is hands down the best homestay I’ve ever crashed at. No contest!
If you’re heading to Dali, do yourself a favor and BOOK THIS PLACE. Trust me, you’ll thank me later!

Xunshan is a warm home. Every day, someone here greets you warmly: "Where have you been today? You're back!" I didn't have a very good impression of the ancient city, but Xunshan is wonderful! As you can see, the B&B is beautifully designed, the breakfast is hearty, and it's what it feels like to be right at home. Slow down, stay a few days, sleep in naturally, gaze out the window at Cangshan Mountain, rent an electric scooter, check out the surrounding cafes, and browse the local markets—that's the right way to experience Dali. I'm grateful to Yangyang and Xiao Ma for their care during my six days in Xunshan. See you soon.
