Very nice stay, good location for visiting the ancient town or going around Erhai. Staff were really helpful.

I am American born retired university professor who has been married to a Chinese woman from Shanghai for twenty years. We have a house in a village next to Old Dali. Dali has a special meaning for me, because one of my favorite relatives was a pilot in the US Army Air Force who use to fly over Dali during WW II. Xiaojian and I stayed in Yanxiuge guest house while our house was being cleaned. What is special about this guest house is it in the hills looking over the lake with views of the mountains and the amazing clouds behind it. All rooms have views of the lake and guests can see the mountains from a special garden and from the roof which has tables and chairs. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Guests and staff are very friendly. The food is excellent, and special dinners can be organized for guests and their friends. I give this guest house my highest recommendation. Very friendly and helpful service, good wine selection, gorgeous view from the roof terrace over the Old Town. No elevator, difficult with heavy luggage, but staff Carrie’s it up for you.

It's been a long time since I took such serious photos. Maybe it was fate. Yanxiu Pavilion attracted me to the foot of Cangshan Mountain and met the chic and lovely proprietress ~ leaving precious memories! You can see Erhai Lake, sunrise and sunset when you open your eyes in the bedroom. There is a bar on the first floor, and there is another world when you enter the bedroom on the second floor. It is like a paradise hidden in Cangshan Mountain. It is not an abrupt man-made hotel in the mountain, but a comfortable mountain residence. From the scenery to the accommodation environment to the dining, there is nothing to be dissatisfied with. The whole Yanxiu Pavilion reveals the careful design everywhere. Every place makes people linger and can't help but watch it carefully. I really like it! The garden is also very beautiful, with a scene at every step, which complements the natural scenery of Erhai Lake and Cangshan Mountain. This is a stylish homestay. Yanxiu Pavilion is not only a good place to rest, but also a microcosm of Dali, a secret place for travelers to explore💕

The room is very nice, very quiet, and the environment is also very good. The children like it very much, especially with a cat (Ge Ge) as their companion, which is very interesting. On the last day, we also encountered the March Market, which is very big and close to the ancient town, and it is not far to walk.

Aesthetically pleasing homestay!! The small courtyard is super beautiful. I will definitely come again if I come to Dali next time. The hotel is about 7-8 minutes by bike from the ancient city. It is quite quiet, and the view of the hotel is also very good. You can see the sunrise in the morning. You can take pictures of the sunrise in the room🌄overlooking the entire ancient city I was originally going to stay for one day to go to Tengchong, but because I changed my schedule to go horseback riding in Cangshan, I stayed for another day. I stayed in the inn for a day, reading in the garden, drinking afternoon tea on the sofa in the lobby, taking pictures, very lazy, comfortable and happy~ I like this inn with flowers everywhere, and I also feel that the inn owner takes good care of it, and details can be seen everywhere in the furnishings. The little brother is very patient and makes very fragrant coffee. The flight was delayed for two hours that day, and the hotel arranged a special car to pick us up. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, a guy helped to carry our luggage to the room, which was very heartwarming. The location and environment of the hotel are excellent, both are first-class, and the scenery is great. You can directly watch the sunrise and Erhai Lake. The Ximatan Cableway is just above, and the ancient city is just below, with convenient transportation.

I went to a B&B halfway up Cangshan Mountain and was pleasantly surprised. The small garden in the B&B was like entering Alice in Wonderland. A young man helped me with my luggage and I felt the warm service. If I had more time, I would really like to stay a few more nights.
