Loved the place! We got the third floor and there was a cute common area to relax and get some fine views of Cang Shan! The rooms were comfy and breakfast was great with lots of variety (thanks for the peanut butter and coffee). Staff was super kind especially when it was about to downpour and they told us to grab an umbrella. The only thing I didn’t love was the water bottles (although it was great you could grab as many as you would like). I would suggest maybe getting one big filtered bottle as the small ones felt wasteful.

We totally love this guesthouse. It's in the northern part of Dali ancient town, where the popular north market is nearby. As it's inside the ancient town, carrying luggage on the cobblestone pathway is a bit challenging. (Later after check out, the owner rode a 3-wheel truck and took us to the street to take transport to the bus station - What an experience!) What we love: 1. The owner - friendly and helpful. He gave plenty of info about traveling in Dali 2. The hotel surroundings - safe and quiet. 3. The room - clean and big. The bed is so comfortable that we had a very good sleep. 4. The public lounge - nicely decorated, giving the homey feeling. 5. The breakfast - Their Chinese breakfast is highly recommended, especially the noodles. It's very tasty. We'll definitely come back!

The hotel was really good. It is in a beautiful building in the old town close to the main attractions. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious. It is also possible to do the laundry for free. Highly recommend!

Friendly host who picked us up and recommended a driver for us to tour the ErHai. Lilies in the pond was beautiful. Nice to sit in the courtyard.

Great location in the heart of the Ancient City. Staff is friendly and helpful, room is serviceable. The main drawback is the shower— low water pressure, takes forever for the hot water to kick in. Make sure to turn on the shower at least 5 minutes before you plan to get in.

The location of the hotel is great, close to many places in the ancient city, good restaurants and bars, souvenir shops etc. It is also a walking distance from the 3 pagodas. The manager of the hotel is very helpful and responsive, and help us with everything we needed. Breakfast was very tasty and diversed! The room for 3 wasn’t very spacious, and one of the beds was tough. Furthermore, the room on the 3rd floor was too close to the laundry and gathering area of other tourists. Nevertheless we enjoyed the place and would recommend staying there because of the location, the hospitality and the superb breakfast.
