This hotel was such a unique and great experience! Read the info book on the desk for fun things to do. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. A little chilly but that is normal for winter in this style old wood building. Shower is hot and food is delicious. Especially the corn pancakes! Be careful if you are vegetarian to ask if the vegetable dishes have meat or not… the gym and yoga room are really great!

What a fabulous place. I loved it here - not just the beautiful buildings/ gorgeous room / town - the staff & owner were so warm and welcoming - helping with ideas of what to do/ where to go and also helping with planning my onward journey. Thank you!

The Linden Commons is a special place, located in the heart of Xizhou Ancient Town. We appreciated the care and hospitality of the hosts, the delicious food offered by the restaurant and the comfortable and quaint rooms. Jeanee and Brian are lovely hosts who were always going above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Highly recommend a stay here!

Great location by the lake for a bike ride. Little village is at your doorstep. Friendly and very helpful staff. Very unique hotel rooms. Comfy bed!

I stayed in 7 B&B hotels during the 7 days around Erhai Lake, and I stayed in this one on May 1st. Facilities: Complete facilities. Hygiene: The room is very hygienic. Environment: Very unique, it is a hotel transformed from a private mansion in the Republic of China period, which is equivalent to living in a cultural relic hhhh. Service: The service is very good 👍, the service of a star hotel. Borrow a fruit knife to cut the fruit, and then the service staff cut it and sent it over. Welcome afternoon tea: The afternoon tea is also good. You can have afternoon tea at another Xilinyuan. Outside the wall is the Internet celebrity wheat field, coupled with the great Cangshan sunset and sunset. Souvenirs: The souvenirs are too thoughtful. The postcards are migratory birds they took themselves, and the tea is also picked by themselves. In addition, during the May Day holiday, the prices of many hotels skyrocketed, and the price of this one is still very conscientious. In short, if you are in Xizhou, I highly recommend this one! This is my third time in Xizhou. This time I finally stayed at Xilinyuan, which I always wanted to visit. I booked their new courtyard, Baocheng Mansion. The location is very good. Sifang Street is just a few steps away. Several favorite restaurants and snacks are nearby. Avoid holidays. There are not many guests staying here, but the breakfast is still very rich. There are Chinese and Western styles. Afternoon tea is also provided. The room is on the second floor. It is very spacious. The sun is very good in the morning. There is also a library and a gym in the store. I met the boss several times. He speaks Chinese very well. The staff is also very enthusiastic. It is a very good accommodation experience. I will come again next time.

It was an unforgettable experience. It was not only a stay in a hotel renovated from a provincial protection unit, but also a visit and study. During the stay, I was lucky to meet Mr. and Mrs. Linden. They were warm and friendly. Because we had studied or worked at Nanjing University, we had a lot of common topics. We even added the idol's WeChat, took photos, and asked for autographs. It was a success and I was very happy. The day I checked in was my and my lover's second wedding anniversary. Mr. Linden also wished us a happy anniversary, which was really nice. I stayed for two nights in total. Because I had to get up early at five in the morning on the last day, the front desk lady was very enthusiastic to pack breakfast in advance, and the security brother got up early to help open the door. When the local driver (who happened to be a local in Xizhou) couldn't find the hotel according to the navigation, he communicated enthusiastically, which made people feel very warm! In short, it was a very special experience. Next time I come to Xizhou, I want to experience Yang Pinxiangfu again. I look forward to meeting Mr. and Mrs. Linden and the lovely Xilinyuan friends again!

I originally booked two nights and stayed for another night. During the four days and three nights in Xizhou, every meal was eaten at the restaurant of Xilinyuan. This year's New Year's Eve dinner was also eaten at Baocheng Mansion. The restaurant is highly recommended! Snow sand milk fan, fried chicken with bait, steamed chicken, and chestnut beef brisket are all delicious! Both Yang Pinxiang Mansion and Baocheng Mansion are delicious! The menus of the two restaurants are different! Baocheng Mansion restaurant is very convenient, just next to the central Sifang Street and next to Yan's Courtyard. I stayed in the first-floor room on the first day and the family room on the second floor for the next two days. Although it is an ancient building, the water temperature is very good and hot! It is not cold even with the air conditioner turned on, and hot milk was delivered at night, which is very comfortable. The rooms on the first floor can definitely hear some noise from upstairs because they are old houses, but it is okay, not serious. The hotel's cultural activities are also well arranged. This time, I participated in the activities of making dragon lanterns and writing Spring Festival couplets to worship the main god on New Year's Eve, the activities of explaining ancient buildings on the first day of the first ***** month and the activities of dragon dancing on the second day of the first ***** month. They are all very lively and interesting, and the atmosphere of the New Year is very strong. I will stay here again next time if I have the chance!

Living in Baochengfu is a special experience of traveling through time and space and living in history. The room has a simple atmosphere and is comfortable. I was a little worried about the sound insulation before moving in, but it was actually very quiet at night. There are many original foreign books in the library, and you can see that the list is updated frequently. I took my children to read some of them, and the content is good👍. During the day, I was in a daze in the garden or cafe, avoiding the noise of the downtown outside, which was very comfortable and cozy. I silently wished that I could stay a few more nights next time.

The location is very convenient, the room is large, the breakfast is very rich, especially the garden restaurant is very good, I didn't eat enough after two meals. It was very inconvenient to take a taxi during the Spring Festival. The pretty girl at the front desk was enthusiastic to help contact the car. Next time I have a chance to go to Xizhou Ancient Town, I will choose to stay here again

I had the New Year's Eve dinner here, participated in the mountain worship activities, talked with Mr. Linden and his wife, and read Mr. Linden's book. If I have the chance, I would like to come back and participate in more activities. The service staff are very warm and thoughtful. As for the facilities, because it is a protected building renovation project, there will be problems such as the floor wall panels are not soundproof and the bathroom smells. However, out of respect for the protection of the building, I personally feel that it is understandable and acceptable.
