I spent only one night in this charming old house, but I can tell you it was quiet and restful. There is no air conditioning, but I was comfortable enough with a fan located near the foot of the bed. A second fan, on the ceiling, made too much noise to leave on during the night. The bed was equipped with mosquito netting. My private bathroom was very basic but had plenty of hot water. The enclosed courtyard inside the entrance door to the house is gorgeous and comfortable and a great place to relax or have breakfast. Overall, it's a lovely place and a nice difference from the more modern but less interesting accommodations on the mainland.

Nous avons passé une magnifique semaine chez Oumar Ly lors de notre voyage scolaire avec l'Athénée de Ganshorenn de Bruxelles en janvier 2024. Nous étions à Gorée pour mener un travail sur l'esclavage. Une classe de 10 élèves de 4iem secondaire accompagnée de deux professeurs et deux animatrices.La maison est splendide. L'accueil 10/10, l'attention 10/10, la réactivité 10/10, la propreté 10/10, la gentillesse 20/10 ;-) Nous le remercions toutes et tous ainsi que sa magnifique équipe. Et pareil pour nos délicieux repas du midi et du soir aux restaurants chez Thio et à l'Amiraute des restaurants bien tenus danns un cadre idyllique. Merciiiiii

très bel endroit. Une nuit parfaite dans une maison d'hôtes, décorée et aménagée avec goût. Prestations remarquables avec un petit déjeuner royal! au cœur de l'île sans voiture. Un petit paradis. A noter, il est possible de souper au restaurant chez Thio en face de l'embarcadère, mais le repas nous a moins convaincu. Nous recommandons malgré tout l'accueil et la gentillesse.

Jolie maison au charme tout à fait authentique ! Chambres confortables décorées avec goût. Terrasse et patio très agréables. Et un service très attentionné et sympathique. Mention spéciale au petit déjeuner home made pris sur la terrasse fait d'oeufs, fruits et jus de fruits frais et crêpes maison.
