Dahlonega Mountain Inn

The room needs to be painted. Carpet needs to be cleaned. Bathroom had a hole in the wall and stuffed with toilet paper. Draw on desk would not stay closed. Not enough wall outlets the ones they did have would not holda phone charger or anything else the plug would fall out need new outlets. From door wouldn't lock properly. On one pillow there was dry blood stains that didn't come out. It was washed but you could see the stains.

They absolutely do not serve breakfast, the rooms have not been updated since the 80’s. Including the mattress. It’s obvious when you pull in the parking lot at the amount of store bought plants where the priority is, it is NOT THE BUSINESS. Spend a couple of extra bucks and stay somewhere else.

Shower curtains were dirty, felt a little rushed to check out as they kept asking how long until we left, and there was no breakfast actually included. Front desk managers were really nice though!

You get what you pay for It seems this hotel is being renovated. Some things are new and wonderful (including the showerhead); others old and problematic. The bolt on my door didn't work, nor did the blow-dryer. The toilet clanks when one sits and both the desk chair and the mattress felt like a block of wood. The walls desperately need painting but the linens are very nice. So for the price it's fine, but not great.

Property needs renovation. Mattress was extremely dirty, hole in ceiling in bathroom, floor was dirty, comforters were dirty and worn out. Checked in and checked right back out.

AC doesn’t work Our AC wasn’t working. I checked into the room and it was 90 degrees in the room. I turned on the AC and reloaded the kids up to go eat while the room cooled down. We came back a while later and it was still 90 with no air blowing out of the unit. I called the front desk and no one come after an hour. My son walked down to the lobby to let them know that it’s still not working. The lady said it’s because we are leaving our door open and letting all the cold air out. I did open the door waiting on maintenance because it was a sauna in the room and with the door open the temperature dropped to 77 since it was raining outside. Final an hour after that the maintenance man showed up and without looking at the AC he told me it’s because the door was open. I shut the door to show him how hot it gets and immediately the thermostat started moving into the 80’s. He messed around with the unit for a minute and put it on the exact same settings I had it on and he told me that I had the heater on but now it’s on the AC. We let it run for a minute and then it completely stopped again. I loaded up my kids and dogs and left. My dogs were in destress and my kids were sweating. They tried not to give me a refund but once I threaten the vet bill they finally gave me a refund. There are people there that live there and they sleep with their doors open with fans at the door blowing air into the room.
