Orchard Hideaways

Lovely clean glamping pods in an idyllic setting. Comfy beds, showers nice & clean. Beautiful in the evening when all the fairy lights come on. My son loved that you had an Alexa. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good location for exploring the local area. Highly recommend.

My wife and I did not have the greatest time staying at Orchard Hideaways. The Pod its self was okay however, the facilities were not. I used two different showers and the drainage in both of them were blocked which was not pleasant having water overflowing from the drain. The lock on the accessible washroom did not fully lock which resulted in someone nearly walking in on my wife showering, gladly I was there to avoid any embarrassment. It was stated that the hub had a vending machine but when we went to use the vending machine it was completely empty and looked to have been turned off completely. The TV in our pod struggled to connect to the internet and it did not have any access to any channels, the volume on the TV kept turning itself up to 100 while we were trying to watch a program when the TV did finally connect to the WiFi. Men continuously used the women’s restrooms which was not pleasant when we needed to use the toilet at night. Bottles of alcohol were left lying around all day and night. In our booking it stated that they were 2 beds and a 3rd mattress. The 3rd mattress was not in the room.

Amazing place and excellent location. All on site facilities aviable (all clean and in good condition). We also used chill out space (sauna, jacuzzi) absolutely stunning. Grocery shop is 5 min away from pods, no need to bring a lot of food. Will come back definitely! :)

Having stayed here before back in 2019 I can honestly say this place is great. Perfect place to stay for either a relaxing break or hiking trip. We decided to come here for a bit of a break and we loved it. We arrived about an hour and a half too early for check in but this wasn't a problem as the owner very kindly gave us a free pass at a local soft play for our toddler to pass some time. The pod itself was very clean and spacious. Has a fridge, microwave, kettle and plates/cutlery. The outside temperature dropped to around -6 degrees one night but our pod was kept lovely and warm inside by the radiator. The shower/toilet block was again very clean and no issues with this. Although we didn't use it, the hot tub/shack area looks great value for money especially for larger parties. 100% would stay here for a third time!

Small but comfortable pods and a great place from which to explore the area. Well equipped with microwave, kettle, fridge and even a TV. We all got a good night’s sleep. 3 families stayed here together and we appreciated the outside space where the children could play happily (shame the play area was across a road, albeit a quiet one). We weren’t lucky with the weather but made use of the covered area with a smart speaker and heaters. Showers were great but could have done with being cleaned more often during the weekend. We booked the Sizzle shack- barbecue was great but was far too smoky for us to sit in the hut. We would have liked to have used the chill out area but it was booked by people from off-site during our stay. Overall I’d recommend.

We booked for one night on our way back from the Scottish Highlands back to Manchester. One night was not enough! The huts are really comfortable and cosy with fantastic facilities. The outside space is outstanding. We used the sizzle shack which would have been a bit more fun on a cooler day, but was still excellent Highly recommend this wonderful place
