Positives: the hotel is nice, the staff is polite, in a decent location, not too far from most of the major attractions in the city. The spa staff was awesome and very accommodating.
Negatives: the hotel is too big for our tastes, 37 floors, and the elevators are really slow compared to other hotels. The room we had was "the best in the hotel" but it was decent at best. Much smaller than expected. Has a kitchenette but comes with zero utensils or pots/pans, no microwave either. The patio had no furniture to sit on to enjoy the view. No automated bidet like in 99% of other "upscale" hotels throughout Asia. Breakfast is decent, but there is nothing to brag about.

Very good hotel service and amenities.
FYI, it seems that Da Nang is “split” between two “areas” - the side where this hotel is located at, and the other side across the Dragon Bridge. It seems that a lot more food options and shops are across the other side so we ended up Grabbing a lot over. However, there’s a mall directly behind this hotel about 3-5 mins walk away.
You can see the fireworks display on the Dragon Bridge if you pick the Horizon View.
Oh!!! The butterfly pea lemonade drink that is complimentary at the reception is soooo good we drank it everyday when we came back.

I spent 2 nights in a junior suit. It was very spacious. They provide greater quality breakfast compared to other hotels. Highly recommended.

We love the size of the room with a separate sitting area. Nice view of the sea from our floor level. Very comfy bed. Check in and out was easy. Breakfast has a good selection of eastern and western. The hotel has 2 floors of dining for breakfast so getting a table was never a problem even with bus loads of guests.
Only issue is that they limit 2 bottles of complimentary water per room. As a couple we thought that we should be given 4 bottles. We enjoyed our stay.

This hotel is mostly catered to Korean tourists, they come by the a few dozen bus loads. There will be hundreds of tourists lingering in the lobby at anytime of the day.
The hotel itself is dated, shows its wear & tear. The towels are thin and had its better days, even lower end hotel such as Radisson Red or Four Points DaNang have better towels than this Melia.
The windows are not very sound proof, so even at 31 floor, we could still hear a lot of street noises. I also stayed at Bay Capital Hotel, and they have much better sound proof windows.
When they did housekeeping, they threw the pillows on the floor when they changed sheets, so unsanitary. I so happened to walk in when they were doing housekeeping. I complained, but they shrugged off.
Would I stay there again? Probably not, Bay Capital or Radisson gives better services and value.

Abit outdated, 80% Korean tourists in the hotels, overall it’s a pleasant stay, better brekkie at downstairs rooms

A very pleasant stay in the hotel, the view is great both day and night, overlooking the river and city. The staff are very friendly and always come with smiles and willing to help and provide information and advice. Will certainly stay again for my next trip!
