I planned a trip to Wales with my daughter in April 2024 who was visiting from America and needed to book 6 hotels, the Queen Bee being the first. All bookings were fine except the Queen Bee. They stated that they hadn't received the payment of £85 for one nights stay. After confirming this with my bank who stated that the payment had indeed gone through, the Queen Bee said that they could not find it. Eventually Queen Bee stopped replying to my emails. I had proof from my bank (Co-operative Bank) and their bank (Santander) that the money had transferred successfully and all they need to do was to take the registered letter copy that I sent them to their branch to confirm this....a simple instruction which fell on deaf ears. I wish I had have read the reviews before hand as this would have prevented all this unnecessary hassle. Please read the comments before booking a hotel as this could save you money and stress, which is the last thing you need when booking a holiday. In my opinion the Queen Bee has failed miserably in it's attempt with interpersonal skills and judging by the reviews their hospitality falls short too.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Queen Bee & B, and it was a delightful experience. Julie, the owner, truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. My room was lovely, great private bathroom and even a good sized dressing room! Julie's warm hospitality and attention to detail made my stay memorable. I highly recommend this charming B&B for a relaxing getaway. PS: what an amazing name for a B&B, the Bee theme also runs throughout the room with little Queen 🐝 tags on items and bees on the glassware! Perfect attention to detail!

Julie runs a truly amazing guest house which sparkles. The true gem is revealed once through the front door with delightful décor and attention to detail. Slippers are provided for your stay and we were able to park our car behind secured gates. The house itself isn't signed at the front, so you need to look out for the handsome "Atalanta House" with French doors. The room we stayed in, was actually a small suite with a middle room adjoining the bathroom. There was certainly a feeling of pride and quality behind it all and it was a very pleasant surprise. Julie hadn't resumed breakfasts at the time of our visit, but she was on hand with recommendations. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
