Das Zimmer im älteren Teil war sehr geräumig und der Blick auf Nordsee sehr gut. Die darin befindlichen Sessel waren eher Liegemöbel als Sitzmöbel. Zudem standen sie so, dass Fernsehen nicht möglich war. Das ging nur, wenn man im Bett lag oder auf der fußseitigen Bettkante saß. Die Betten waren allerdings gut. Das Badezimmer bedarf einer grundlegenden Verbesserung. Eine Dusche mit einem dunklen Vorhang, so dass man beim Duschen natürlich auch im Dunklen stand. Der Duschkopf eine Zumutung, ebenso die Seifenablage in der Dusche. Bei unvorsichtigen Bewegungen in der Dusche oder unzureichender Nutzung des Vorhangs musste man hinterher einiges Wasser vom Boden mit den vorhandenen Handtüchern aufnehmen. Eine sehr bewegliche Klohbrille mit zugehörigem Deckel machte das Bad nicht besser. Ausgezeichnet ist das zugehörige Restaurant - Frühstück war sehr gut und die Speisenkarte bot nicht nur eine reichhaltige Auswahl, es schmeckte auch sehr gut.

Wir waren ein verlängertes Wochenende zu Gast und in Summe sehr zufrieden. Wir waren aufgrund einiger Bewertungen auch etwas skeptisch aber dies vollkommen zu unrecht. Das Zimmer war nicht top modern aber in Ordnung. Das Bad war etwas moderner und auch ausreichend. Sauberkeit können wir ebenfalls nicht bemängeln. Den Pool Bereich haben wir nicht genutzt. Lage ist super. Direkt hinter dem Deich und nicht weit von der Promenade entfernt. Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die kugelbake oder die alte Liebe sind ebenfalls fußläufig erreichbar. Das Restaurant haben wir ebenfalls nicht besucht. Außer zum sehr reichhaltigen Frühstück. Sehr freundliches Personal. Alles in allem absolut zu empfehlen.

Das Hotel ist sicher etwas älter, wer Ambiente möchte ( Seefahrtsmotive und Piratenflair ) und kein sterile Unterkunft, wie man sie letztendlich überall buchen kann...der ist dort gut aufgehoben. Die Zimmer ( wir haben im Nebenhaus.. dort ist auch der Pool) gewohnt, sind einfach....aber sehr sauber, die Betten gut und das Bad ausreichend groß. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Das Frühstücksbüffet ...einfach großartig mit selbstgepressten Orangenjuice....sehr reichhaltig und qualitativ hochwertig....Im Restaurant haben wir einmal gegessen und waren zufrieden...gut bürgerliche Küche....beim Besuch der Bar am Freitagabend hätten wir uns mehr Tanzmusik gewünscht..... Alles in allem ein gelungener Kurzurlaub mit viel maritimem Flair...
