A truly special place, particularly if you are a surfer / windsurfer / wing foiler / kiteboarder / kayaker or beach wanderer. Josh (son of the owner) and Makenzie are the couple that often run the B&B and also know the area - and all water sports taught at the associated lakefront school - intimately and will share their knowledge freely, with stories / jokes / directions and cautions on tap deep into the morning as they serve up a sumptuous breakfast at the common table. The B&B itself is somewhat unique in that it was designed as a boutique hotel with lovely water-view rooms, a huge deck and private bathrooms - but breakfast is a shared event where you can meet other guests and hobnob about weather, wind and waves, argue over best equipment and gear, and describe how to take on new skills. Even with no wind they'll pull you up on foilboards with jetskis, and with wind I learned to get up on a wingboard the first day out. Though it isn't inexpensive, it's worth it. [Special thanks to my host Josh Hinerfeld!]
