Hotel Riu Karamboa - All Inclusive - Adults Only

Absolutely blown away by our stay at this incredible resort! 🌟 The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel like family from the moment we arrived. We were truly well looked after, with every need attended to promptly and with a smile. The choice of this resort was EXCEPTIONAL - we couldn't have picked a better spot to relax and unwind. The resort itself was perfect, with beautifully maintained grounds, stunning beach and plenty of pools to choose from to relax by, and an unbeatable atmosphere. If you're looking for a hassle-free, luxurious getaway, look no further! We'll definitely be back 🤩 10/10 would recommend 💯

We stayed at the Karamboa for 2 weeks and couldn’t fault it. Staff and service excellent, very clean throughout and bed very comfortable. Staff constantly keeping on top of cleanliness, even around the pool area/toilets. We didn’t stay around the pool area much as a bit noisier throughout the day but that is just a preference. Beach was great and always sunbeds available at pool or beach. Will definitely return

First of all, Deborah S really needs to stay at home, never heard so much nonsense, must have nothing else to do...Hotel was brilliant, staff fantastic, food always warm with lots of choices, beach was no further than 5 minutes even for the slowest of walkers..Riu neon night was great, you just needed to join in & embrace the experience , not just sit there nit picking. There are many great reviews on this site & rightly so, well done Hotel Karranboa & thank you for a lovely time 👏 👏 🌴 🌞 👍

A very nice hotel in which we enjoyed a great holiday but this is a long way from being a 5 star hotel. The restaurant is pretty poor with dull bland food mostly served cold. Service is poor and very hit and miss. The main bar is tiny and you will queue and queue. The evening entertainment is an absolute embarrrsment with staff dancing badly and miming. This really lets down the hotel. It’s a very very nice 3 star.

Second visit to Cape Verde, first stay at Karamboa, WOW just WOW! Totally LOVED every minute! So clean, amazing staff, amazing food so much choice and all fresh, brilliant entertainment....Everything was just perfect. Thank you!

We checked on line, but we still had to join the que to checkin. There is little benefit to this option. Room. The room is a good size. Our room was a long way from the pool area. The bathroom had dirty floors and stains on the toilet seat and bottom of the pedestal was stained. The shower door didn't close properly and the door seal was coming off/broken. Towels were not always replaced and had to ask for them. Bedding was overused with bubbly bits on the bed sheets. Stains on the sofa. Again, had to ask for the sheets as they had only left one sheet instead of 2. There were hairs, stains and bits on the sheets. You could often find others peoples hairs on the floor. Floor in bedroom also not very clean. Mini bar was not restocked every 2 days as stated. Damp patches on the walls near the door. Dead fly in room which I had to remove as it had just been left my the maid. Cobwebs on the ceiling. Pool. Getting to the pool area was a long way. At no point are you made aware how far it was to walk to the pools and beach. The pool area is dirty with stains on the floor around the sunbeds. This area never gets swept. This is from drinks being spilled and food being left. There are flies everywhere. The bars areas spray but there are many flies. You see dead flies all over the floors. The shower for cleaning feet from the beach is always full and with stagnant water. Men do try to get rid of the water but it back within a hour or so. Many of the sunbeds are ripped /broken and we fell through. Be aware. Many of the parasols are broken. Restaurant Food is often over cooked and cold including the soup. Always very similar each day. You can often find food and cutlery on the floor around the tables. It can be there for a couple’s days. Placemats are often stained. You could not get a tomato for 4 days. Entertainment area. Stained floors, seats is falling apart and cushions ripped. Rui Party. It might be part of the activities for the hotel. However, it does not say anywhere that other RUI hotels would be attending. The manager said 2 or 3 thousand people. We had to use plastic glasses!. The manager said they use polycarbonate glasses (still plastic!) . This was because of the people getting drunk. I do not like be stereotyped as a drunk! I have never been treated like this in a real 5 start hotel. This party was not held in the entertainment area it spilled out into the nonsmoking area and the lobby area. The bars were often 3 fold to get a drink and a very long waiting time. This meant for us and many more there was no alternative place for us, only our bedroom. There needs to be an area where you can stay if you do not wish to go the loud party. The hotel is very tired and needs a good overall. Well below other RUI hotels, this is Not 5*.
