I thought that two or three bad reviews cannot mean that it will be a terrible experience, but the opposite is true. I wanted to write a review after two days spent in this hotel, but after three days I can safely say that I agree with all the bad reviews. We are here with a three-year-old daughter and all three of us are horrified by the quality of the food and service. Regardless of the fact that in Europe it is generally known that Italians are dirty, or rather hygiene 0 points, we also have persistent stomach problems even with ordinary vegetables and fruits, even with cooked food. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OVERPRICED HOTEL. This resort is intended for a group of lazy people who will spend their vacation by the pool, not by the sea. I will not comment on the quality of the water in the sea. Disappointment on the whole line! People, be sensible and choose something else.

Thanks to Falkensteiner Resort for the amazing experience – everything was great, the sea was beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. I really love that place! Huge thanks also to Nivardo for his great stretching and pool workouts – he’s such a kind and awesome person!

We arrived after 23:00 and paid the full price for our first day. I requested a late check-out and was asked to pay an additional €50, which seemed excessive. The food was average overall, the desserts didn’t taste good at all. Despite being an all-inclusive resort, we had to rent or buy towels, which was disappointing. No shuttle from and to Airport, they suggest a taxi for 40 Euro each way. Cleanliness throughout the resort was poor, and our room had noise coming from outside slamming doors. The toilet didn’t work properly and had a bad smell. For the price we paid, the experience didn’t meet our expectations. In the restaurant, there were plenty of staff clearing dishes very quickly, sometimes even before we finished eating, while managers mostly stood around or watched from the door. The beverage selection was very limited, and the pizza definitely could be much better (I’m Italian). On the positive side, the kids' club was nice, and the staff there did a great job entertaining the children. The beach facilities were very basic, just sunbeds and umbrellas, with no showers, no animation, and no group activities. The resort wasn’t even full during this period, so the lack of service and attention was surprising, other all inclusive resorts in Calabria are definitely better. I gave also some feedbacks to one of the reception manager but she was careless.

This hotel uses the Falkensteiner brand, but it does not match the quality of an other Falkensteiner hotels. The rooms are older, the shower has either hot or cold water nothing between, the air conditioning is not fully functional and in the case of the attic room and 40 degrees it was not pleasant. Do not expect the quality of a 4* hotel. Even though we lived far from the evening entertainment, the disco kept us awake long into the night and only pizza is available for snacks. Tasty, but for a family hotel I would expect fruit to be available during the day. It was pleasant stay, but expectations were much higher from this hotel brand.

Well albeit we liked the food, pool and infrastructure as such there is a sanitary issue most likely with water in the pool - my two children had stomatitis with high fever (!), we had to look for a doctor for the younger one and my wife has issues with urinary tract. It is really concerning !

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The grounds are incredibly spacious and beautifully maintained – everything is surrounded by flowers. Our daughter was especially delighted by the little lizards running around the garden! The main pool is large and very clean, with a generous area designed specifically for children, which made it perfect for families. For those seeking peace and quiet, there’s a second pool that’s adults-only. The food was absolutely delicious and offered a wide variety every day – there was always something new to try, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. Our room was very spacious and cleaned daily. The housekeeping staff were attentive and regularly checked in to make sure we had enough towels, shampoo, and anything else we might need. Every member of the hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. One of the highlights for us and especially our child was the kids' disco and the evening shows – truly top-notch entertainment! We would definitely recommend this hotel to families. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Everything was great! I will write that the hotel really tries to make guests feel at home. The quality of food and drinks is perfect, many fish and seafood dishes. Perfect for families with little children. Enjoyed the live music evenings, great singer Mario. Staff members are friendly and helpful. The infrastructure of the territory is thought out. Beach towels for an additional rental fee. You can also buy it locally. The hotel has a shop that has everything. Lots of sunbeds by the pools and on the beach. A large area by the sea. Sandy beach (gravel). There is a bus from the hotel to Pizza town, 10€ ticket for both ways. Hotel far from other small towns with shops, restaurants. You need a car if you want to visit other beaches or towns as there is no public transport.

Positives: The pool is visually appealing and features warm water, making it very enjoyable. The hotel rooms are spacious, nice, and clean. However, the showers in the bathrooms are quite small, which can be inconvenient if you need to shower your child. The sports and activities available were fun and enjoyable. The walk to the beach is pleasant, as it goes through a beautiful pine forest. The croissants served at breakfast were delicious. Negatives: The hotel is not very English-friendly. The food quality needs improvement. Most of the food is served cold and the majority of dishes are not labeled, making it difficult to know what they are. There is nothing of interest nearby, as the resort is located in a remote area. The evening entertainment is repetitive and exclusively in Italian, which may not be suitable for non-Italian speakers. The children's disco seemed more like a showcase for the animators' dancing skills than a dedicated event for the kids. The beach is not very close to the hotel, and there is no foot shower available when exiting the beach. An incident on the day of our checkout was extremely rude. Although checkout is by 10:00 a.m., a cleaner entered our room without knocking at 9:15 a.m. to remind us of the checkout time. I was undressed, and she did not apologize. I initially thought it was a mistake, but she returned at 9:30 a.m. with the same reminder, which I found very inappropriate. The animation team lacked enthusiasm and did not engage guests in activities. The lifeguards were inattentive, particularly at the slides

Travelled in June 2024 with family, great entertainment based resort on the seaside of Curinga/Acconia. Well organised, we fully enjoyed the experience and holiday too, beautiful rooms and amenities. Great authentic Italian food and premium drinks served at all the times, definitely recommend the All-inclusive formula. Live music at evenings and night with local band (bravo and applauses to all the guys of the band!) Marvellous “fritto di Caterina” and beach bar walking distance from the resort. Round of applauses for the kids club organisation “Falky” with everyday different activities entertained by the lovely staff, in particular Lilly, Ilenia and Abril who were absolutely fantastic and attentive towards the little ones! Our child loved the atmosphere and the kids club staff. Amazing staff, from reception to chefs and waiters that effortlessly prepared everything to perfection on daily basis, in both of the main restaurant and in the “Pentolo and Grill”… you must try the outstanding “Paccheri with seafood” Well done also to housekeeping team for the cleaning and organisation of the rooms! Definitely RECOMMEND and looking forward to go back!
