Our group of 4 had a great time at this resort. We thought the staff were great as well as the food! In fact, of all the Sandals I have visited, SRC had the best food of all (going to St. Vincent's next year and heard they have great food there as well). Our favorite was Vincent's, then Butch's, Strand, Zuka, and Aolos (wait was long). All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping did an excellent job, no complaints. We enjoyed the food trucks for a quick bite and the pizza was very good (ask for it well done). Kanaal had good pastries, crepes, ice cream, cheese plates and coffee. We made sure to visit there several times a day. We loved the playmakers, especially Elvis and Pencil. They were lots of fun and we had some nice conversations with them throughout our stay. Bicycles were a nice addition to get quickly from place to place and to explore. We did a full day excursion with Discover Curacao tours visiting beautiful beaches on the west side of the island and Willemstad which was very nice. We spent most days between the infinity pool and the quiet pool which were basically next to each other. There is another quiet pool past Aolos which we went to see but didn't spend time there. Nightly shows were good but after that there is not a lot going on. I wish there was a pub or piano sing-along like some of the other resorts. We liked the peacefulness of the beach and floating around with the floats we brought to the resort. The snorkeling excursion was nice but we saw just as many fish snorkeling by the pier on resort. Bring your own snorkel gear or buy on property as there is none for loan unless you are doing the free snorkel excursion. Sign up for the snorkel excursions in advance at the dive center. Be sure to book one dinner reservation 2 weeks prior to arrival on the Sandals app., get up early to reserve chairs, and play pool volleyball every day to meet some other great guests. Enjoy and remember you are on island time.
