Booked and paid for a room here in advance. On arrival we were told there were no rooms available although they had a record of the booking and could see our money had been received. Receptionist very apologetic and after a long wait found us a room in a much cheaper, very basic, hotel nearby. Because of the huge inconvenience we were told that the Perla would naturally cover the cost of the new hotel and refund our original payment. However since then the owner has refused to give us the refund. In order to put the dreadful experience behind us, I said I would be happy to accept the difference in the cost of the 2 rooms but this has not materialised either and he now ignores my messages. I have subsequently heard from locals in Cupra that the hotel has a really dreadful reputation and that the trains going past rattle the windows and keep guests awake all night! Avoid booking here at all costs.

Poor hotel service, there was no minibar in the room, we had to ask for it, so-so cleanliness, poor breakfast and decent cuisine, also because you eat at the small restaurant in front of the hotel, but the dishes are different from those who only go to eat to those staying in the hotel. We had stayed in August 2019 but there was another owner and we had a great time. This year, DISAPPOINTMENT

I booked and blocked a room facing the sea with a deposit of 200 euros, but instead my family and I (with an 8 year old boy and an 18 month old girl) found ourselves in the opposite position, that is, close to the railway, where trains pass every 10/15 minutes. The room isn't cleaned, or at least that's what it seems as there were biscuit crumbs left on the floor until we left, and if you run a finger over the furniture you notice a lot of dust. The room did not have a bidet, but the toilet was set up for one. The toilet did not have a direct flush but had a sanitrit (grinder) which gave off strong odors. The reception is always unstaffed. Cupra Marittima is a beautiful place and this hotel absolutely does not reflect the place where it is!

Congratulations to the excellent all-rounder (reception, information, breakfasts). But everything else, considering the tariffs, leaves much to be desired. If from the 85 euros per day we remove the 7 euros for dinner (with a set menu and only sometimes of decent quality) and the approximately 4 euros per day for the beach, we wonder what we are paying for this stay. The location is certainly excellent, but the rest leaves something to be desired.

We stayed in the hotel from 2nd to 5th September, right from our arrival we received an excellent welcome and all the information we had agreed upon when booking was all respected, including the beautiful room with sea view! We chose half board and dinner (which took place in the restaurant 5 meters from the hotel) was excellent, very tasty and very substantial dishes. The room had a sea view and inside there was everything you needed for a wonderful holiday, even the cleaning service was really excellent. Ultimately an excellent hotel that we highly recommend to anyone who wants to go to Cupra Marittima.

Let's start with the positive things. Excellent location facing the sea and spotless rooms. Stop. For a three-star hotel where there is no mini bar, that's saying something. But the real disaster is the food. We opted for half board. At lunch where you pay it is good but in the evening which is included in the half board it is terrible...even if you replace the 2 courses (first and second) with pizza you can only choose between the simple pizzas because you have to pay for the special ones part...not to mention the fruit or the dessert (you can choose one or the other) they always bring you a small bowl with peach and melon or watermelon...the dessert two scoops of ice cream or strawberry or lemon or chocolate or stracciatella . I've been going on holiday for 30 years and this is the first time I've been FORCED to write a review...I feel really taken for a ride.

Very dirty hotel, cockroaches coming out of the headrest behind the bed. Bathroom without light and toilet flush not working. Shower, sink and bidet blocked and unusable. My daughter started crying, we had to run away. Hotel to avoid. If I could I would give zero stars.
