This was our first trip to Gettysburg, and I wanted to stay in a place that had a bit of character and history. Not only is this bed and breakfast situated on beautiful land, the appointments to the main house and the Tack Room, where we stayed, were very thoughtful and in tune with Civil War history. The breakfast was very nice, and I highly recommend staying for the lecture that is given by battlefield historians directly after breakfast. The historian on our trip was extremely knowledgeable, and had many period artifacts that were fascinating. I learned a great deal about the house and its history, and staying in the Tack Room was very nice, spacious room with giant bathroom and jetted garden tub and right next to the horse corral where I made some new horse friends. The staff was excellent, very attentive but not intrusive, and brought us a nice to-go breakfast on a day we could not make it to the main house due to a tour time. Lovely stay, would recommend highly.

Such a welcoming group of individuals. Definitely everybody goes above and beyond for the guests. Very clean, bed was super comfy ...so much history to be learned in just that spot. Breakfast was so delicious also. They truly care for guests to have a comfortable stay. Good job to all

This was such an amazing Gettysburg experience. . Everything was perfect from the accommodation’s, the friendly kind attentive staff, the scrumptious breakfasts, and the daily history lessons. Every detail was thought of thoroughly. I am on a gluten free low sodium diet and they made food especially for me including the daily cookies that were left for the guests. They went above and beyond with everything. My 2 pups felt like they were on vacation too. We look forward to our next stay.

Amazing staff, location and food. The most authentic Gettysburg experience. General Steve Gunlock (Battlefield historian) is the best. Not only he is a civil war expert, he is passionate to share his knowledge and experience. This place and Mr Gunlock provides Gettysburg experience that you can’t buy with money. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was my favorite US historical experience in my nearly 50 years. The food was great, with the highlight being the butternut squash soup. The inn was charming and the people were great. They put on a hands-on historical presentation about muskets that highlighted the whole trip. MUST SEE!

If you haven’t tried the bed & Breakfast experience, this would be a good one to book. This is a team that is really trying to give that WOW experience. Sally Ann greeted us at the door ready to share the history of the place or leave us alone, your call. Very clean, fully stocked and willing to help in any way. The breakfast was outstanding with fully plated meal guaranteed to fill the hungriest guest. What a really nice touch to have a historian do a presentation each morning. Great experience.

Such a Lovely Bed & Breakfast. This is our 4th time staying here and it never disappoints. The staff is excellent and caring from Sally to JD and all the others who work there, make you feel Welcome. The Food absolutely delicious. We stayed in the lovely Tack Room, which is Beautiful. If you are an animal lover like I am , I got to feed the 2 horses apples that every morning would be waiting at my Patio Door. There are quite a few sweet , lovable kitties , who we adored . I Definitely recommend this B&B if you are ever in Gettysburg.

Do yourself a favor and stay at The Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn. The location is beautiful and peaceful. The care and thoughtfulness of everyone working there was amazing. You are greeted when you arrive and made to feel right at home. We went as a couple but would have been very comfortable bringing children. The room (North Star) for us was perfect. The very comfortable bed and linens a welcome refuge at the end of long days exploring the battlefields and town. We choose to have breakfast and stay for the Historical Speakers. A big thank you to Sallie for the delicious breakfasts! The historical presentations were world class. Do not miss them. Stephen Gunlock 's presentation was lively and superb. Bradley Gottfried's presentation on Lincoln comes to Gettysburg was fascinating and very moving. We will stay there again when we return.

Our niece had our wedding on the property in the barn and on the grounds. It was wonderful. Our weekend only got better after we checked in to the inn. JD our host was wonderful. Patient, informative and kind. The accommodations, service and food was all top notch. Highly recommend this wonderful place for any occasion.
