We were exhausted from a long flight from overseas and and long wait to complete Border/Customs at nearly IAD. We decided we needed to spend a night before continuing home in central Virginia. We stopped at Culpeper and looked at numerous other hotels: the BW was most presentable. Front desk/checkin staff at night was courteous and helpful to us as unreserved guests. Next morning front desk was courteous and helpful with several needs. Breakfast room host was welcoming. The breakfast buffet was included and was added value to the cost of the stay. The buffet room and the buffet lines were sparkling clean, tidy/well organized, and well managed. We were able to sit with distancing (since Covid is still with us). There were gloves that made use of the buffet line more hygienic and we observed Front Desk staff courteously wearing masks. This appears to be a busy property, in an areas with many business, and tourism, travelers. The property appeared remarkably well maintained and orderly for being such a busy location. As with any older property lodging rooms have some fresh, updated furnishings and some furnishings that need updating. You can't re-do everything at the same time. Importantly the beds were good for a good sleep. And parking, and the property, was well lighted for safety.

We have been coming to this hotel for 10 years and it is always a pleasant experience— clean spaces, excellent staff, great breakfast. However, under a new management company they have decided to more than double their rates. $300 dollars a night?! This is not a resort hotel. And we are not in a big city. I just don’t get it— simply boils down to greed. We will not be staying here again at these rates.

Excellent hotel. Very clean and quiet. I could. It give a 5 star rating only due to location. Nothing is convenient to its location. Everything is a 10 min drive or more. And nothing within walking distance. Research the area in advance. Also, I stayed in a King Suite. The air condition unit was positioned in the area furtherest away from the bed and blew towards the door to the room. The air did not circulate well in the sleeping area. I was too cool with only a sheet but too hot with the heavy comforter. I reached out to the front desk but her suggestion to put the unit on Auto did nothing to fix the issue. If it were a smaller room I'm sure it would have been fine.

Totally used to be a Super 8, apparently lost their franchise and now they are a RRI. Location was at the farthest outreaches of the town, far away from anything of value, except some other hotels. Room was ok. Smelled moldy. Bathroom fixtures all loose. Took water forever to get hot. Room full of flies, I think they come out of the broken vent in the bathroom. Pillows hard and lumpy. Refused to provide any type of late check-out. Even came by and pounded on the door at 10:30 to make sure we were awake and could not possibly stay 1 second past the stroke of 11. Definitely overpriced for the level of service I received. I won't be back.

Granddaughter got tired early and wanted to go to bed. This was an unexpected stop. We were so surprised at how clean, easy and roomy the room was. Beds were very comfortable with crisp clean sheets. As best I can say, it's better than home. Breakfast was very nice as well. This was a great surprise and they treated all others very well as well.

Hotel and property is very well maintained, all employees were helpful, professional and cared about my stay.Although the hotel is very dated, it is surprisingly well kept. Rooms were clean, bed was comfy. The outdoor pool area was well kept, with updated outdoor furniture. All in all, it was a pleasant stay, and I would stop there again

This appears to be a busy property, in an areas with many business, and tourism, travelers. The property appeared remarkably well maintained and orderly for being such a busy location. As with any older property lodging rooms have some fresh, updated furnishings and some furnishings that need updating. You can't re-do everything at the same time. Importantly the beds were good for a good sleep. And parking, and the property, was well lighted for safety.

Totally used to be a Super 8, apparently lost their franchise and now they are a RRI. Location was at the farthest outreaches of the town, far away from anything of value, except some other hotels. Room was ok. Smelled moldy. Bathroom fixtures all loose. Took water forever to get hot. Room full of flies, I think they come out of the broken vent in the bathroom. Pillows hard and lumpy. Refused to provide any type of late check-out. Even came by and pounded on the door at 10:30 to make sure we were awake and could not possibly stay 1 second past the stroke of 11. Definitely overpriced for the level of service I received. I won't be back.

However, under a new management company they have decided to more than double their rates. $300 dollars a night?! This is not a resort hotel. And we are not in a big city. I just don’t get it— simply boils down to greed. We will not be staying here again at these rates.

We booked this hotel for a wedding. We called many times to request early check-in so we could prepare for the wedding at the hotel instead of driving 4 hours in our wedding attire. Every time I called, I was told give us a call an hour before you are arriving we will make every attempt to have your rooms ready for you. I requested even just one of our rooms to be ready would be a great help! We get there at 1 p.m. neither of the two rooms were ready and was rudely told by the front desk attendant that they would not be ready until after 3 p.m. We had to catch a shuttle at 3 p.m. so therefore we had to take turns getting ready in the hotel lobby for a wedding. They at no point made one attempt at even trying to get one of our rooms ready. Needless to say we couldn't check in till after we got back from the wedding and had to store our luggage in our vehicles until then. Will not stay here again for a wedding. Rude front desk attendant!!!

Excellent hotel. Very clean and quiet. I could. It give a 5 star rating only due to location. Nothing is convenient to its location. Everything is a 10 min drive or more. And nothing within walking distance. Research the area in advance. Also, I stayed in a King Suite. The air condition unit was positioned in the area furtherest away from the bed and blew towards the door to the room. The air did not circulate well in the sleeping area. I was too cool with only a sheet but too hot with the heavy comforter. I reached out to the front desk but her suggestion to put the unit on Auto did nothing to fix the issue. If it were a smaller room I'm sure it would have been fine.

We were exhausted from a long flight from overseas and and long wait to complete Border/Customs at nearly IAD. We decided we needed to spend a night before continuing home in central Virginia. We stopped at Culpeper and looked at numerous other hotels: the BW was most presentable. Front desk/checkin staff at night was courteous and helpful to us as unreserved guests. Next morning front desk was courteous and helpful with several needs. Breakfast room host was welcoming. The breakfast buffet was included and was added value to the cost of the stay. The buffet room and the buffet lines were sparkling clean, tidy/well organized, and well managed. We were able to sit with distancing (since Covid is still with us).
