What a lovely warm welcome we received from the lady at the Royal Oak we had booked for Sunday lunch. Wow, it was amazing. We opted for the carvery, fresh vegetables, lovely tender meat, and what a choice they offer on the menu something for everyone we will definitely be back Many thanks

This was a Birthday treat, the lobster salad and Baked Salmon was perfect and loved every morsel. We had the most delicious Black Cherry Cheesecake with lashes of Cream. We then finished the meal with a Single Malt each. The Service was very friendly and keen to please. We left feeling satisfied and lucky to have found this Inn.

Great overnight stay. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food served was excellent. Lots of Gluten Free options and at breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable with fluffy towels. GF biscuits for one of us even left in the room. Car park available and a short walk to the seaside. Couldn’t fault the place. Would definitely recommend.

A few words of praise for the lovely staff and the cleanliness. Only stayed one night but we were made to feel very welcome. Loved the standard of cleanliness, the fluffy towels, nice toiletries and plenty of complimentary tea, coffee (+ coffee machine), biscuits, hot chocolate and water. We had a nice meal in the pleasant restaurant and breakfast was very good. Thanks to Brenda, Fiona and Ruby and good luck to Zak new member of the team.

Last minute decision to go for a meal, accommodated without any issues for a table of 5 💕Excellent service, thanks to Brenda and her team,great menu and excellent value with locally sourced products 👍we will definitely be back no occasion needed , Thankyou for great service and hospitality

We were in Cullen for a week break and went to the royal oak twice for lunch and once for evening g meal. The Cullen Skink soup was delicious and gluten free and they were happy to advice and tweak their menu for my needs - the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable thoroughly enjoyed our meals there

We went to the Royal Oak for a small family wedding meal. The staff were very welcoming, attentive & helpful. The food was excellent & the ambience good. We would certainly go here again whether for a meal or a stay, we are sure it would be fine..

My Husband , my westies and I have a wonderful stay here. The staff are so friendly, welcoming and hard working . Breakfast and Dinner here was amazing wonderful choice and all freshly made . Millie at Breakfast service and Aimee at dinner service were so efficient and nothing was too much bother . Wonderful hotel with an amazing team . We will be back

Hotels now are punitively expensive so it is more important than ever to find good accommodation that justifies its price. Mediocre experiences in Pitlochry and Elgin. My priorities are comfortable bed, soft pillows, efficient shower, serviceable TV that you can watch without binoculars, diverse choice for breakfast, blankets if it is too warm for a duvet and a proper reading light that actually illuminates the page. The Royal Oak fulfilled all of these except the blanket on one of the warmest nights of the year. The curt, “we don’t do blankets”, was disappointing. All in All a great experience which we will definitely repeat.
