Exelente place with lots of activities and thing to do very close to the center of the city the service is very good and one characteristic of this place I like the most is the common kitchen where you can prepare your own food

It was such a nice place to stay. It was in the center and the people there was so nice, always helping.

Very good location in terms of distance to the center but if you are looking for tranquility this is not the place, it is full of bars. On a Saturday night you can't sleep until 3am since there is a disco next to it. The wifi does not reach the rooms well. If you get up late you run out of hot water for the shower and it can be quite cold in the mornings.

The service is first-class, the staff are very patient and enthusiastic, they can communicate in English and Spanish, the environment is first-class, it's like living in an old castle, it doesn't look big, but it's actually quite extraordinary. It's just that the Wi-Fi signal in the room is not very good. Maybe the room is too far away and the signal needs to be adjusted. It would be better.

The vibe is truly unique, and there is enough to explore inside and outside of the property. You can enjoy a wonderful meal on the outside roof terrace, and you are within a minutes' walk of the city centre. I would definitely come here again when visiting Cuenca!

Overall, this was a really great, affordable, and centrally located hostel. However, there were a few downsides. To start with the pros, the location of this hostel is excellent. It is walking distance to the main Plaza De San Francisco, and on a centrally located Main Street. The location is very safe, and I never felt unsafe despite traveling solo. There are also many wonderful facilities, like yoga, breakfast, great wifi, a coworking space, and a masseuse that they can bring in. The wifi was fast and worked throughout the hostel without a hitch. The main con of this hostel is that it is extremely loud on the weekends. Expect to hear loud club music from around 9:30pm-4:00am on the weekends. Luckily I had noise cancelling headphones, but even with that it was difficult to sleep. So if you like partying and don’t mind club music with loud bass clearly in your room late at night, then staying here on the weekends might be for you. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this hotel only for weeknight stays, because it was difficult to sleep with the noise. The showers also didn’t seem to get hot water. Other than that, it’s a really nice hostel, and all of the pros outweighed the cons for me.

Selina was awesome. Super cool hostel, almost more of a hotel. They had an awesome co-working space for remote works, we didn't need it, but it definitely inspired me to look for a remote job when we got back. Room was clean, cool building with lots of services and a free walking tour, great location. My only complain would be that the free breakfast was pretty bad.

I've been in Cuenca around 10 times already and been to at least 8 different hotels and airbns, but Selina Cuenca is just perfect. The location of the hotel is the best, you are two steps away from cuenca old town, in front of the river, you cross the river through the multiple bridges and bam you are in the downtown cuenca. The hotel is beautiful, rooms, terrace, everything.

Attention in the front desk really good. The rooms were nice but not the best for the price. The carpet all around the building looks a bit dirty. Besides that the ceiling had some leak. But the most annoying thing is the personal that didn’t wear face mask (in COVID pandemic) even though they prepare the drinks.

The experience at the hotel was less than what I expected after seeing so many advertisements on social networks, the review is going to be long. My first problem occurred when checking in, I reserved a room with a private bathroom through Hopper (which is the page I use for almost all my trips and from which I have never had any problems). When I arrive at the reception they tell me that the one that corresponds to me is a lower class one with a shared bathroom, to which I show my reservation, and they tell me that what they recommend is not to book at Hopper because there are always inconveniences and that it is better to book through their website website, which seems totally RIDICULOUS to me because in which case they should withdraw the possibility of making reservations through Hopper instead of telling someone who ALREADY RESERVED THERE that they better NOT DO IT, and even worse, they tell me that the value that I I paid does not correspond to the one for the room I wanted even though it is the one they posted on Hopper's page. At this point I'm quite worried because the reservation has already been paid and I don't want to have to share a bathroom and it's too late to go look for another hotel. The young lady, after a long time and indicating my discomfort and that I have not had a problem with the app before, kindly tells me that if they have a room like the one I reserved available, so basically “it was lucky” to get the room for the What did I pay. When I got to the room, what I could feel in the first second was that it did not have the cleanliness it needs. I am allergic to dust and every minute I was in the room was a torment because I kept sneezing, and the carpeted floor looked like it hadn't had a good shake in a long time. Something positive to highlight is that the bed was relatively comfortable, there were several light sockets and it had a closet with hangers and a small desk which was very appreciated, those were in good condition. Regarding the common areas, in general the aesthetics are nice but everything already feels quite worn and neglected, the tables on the terraces have quite worn wood, some seats are already loose but the worst thing for me was the kitchen, it had a smell With strong humidity, dirty rags and worn countertops, as if they didn't clean there often, I didn't want to spend a lot of time there. There was also no underground mini cinema as shown on their social networks, just a room with things scattered around. And finally the hot water, as I read in another comment, you have to leave the shower open for 15 minutes for hot water to arrive, which is a huge waste of water and I find it incredible that they don't look for a quick solution to that. The breakfasts were included in the price, on the first day we had the “Selina” breakfasts, which were very poor in our opinion, but on the second day they redeemed themselves with the “Granola” and “Tigrillo” breakfasts, which were excellent. The only positive point of the stay is the location, as it is steps from restaurants, cafes

It was a shared bathroom but it did not have a hot shower, the room was very small and there was television, there was loud music, you could not rest until 3 am... Also the carpet in the room was disgusting, too dirty... My experience was very bad

We stayed in Cuenca for 2 nights at this hotel. We traveled as 2 couples, each one took a private room with a bathroom. Both rooms were excellent. Breakfast was very good too. The hotel is located on Calle Larga, this street is quite busy at night and is close to the historic center. The breakfast staff was very friendly and always had a smile on their face. The only thing I didn't like was that the hair dryer in my room was damaged and the reception didn't offer me a solution. It was quite uncomfortable sleeping with wet hair. Other than that, the experience was very good. I would stay again.

An old house but very well maintained and with many activities, incredible attention especially Danna, the yoga classes to start the day: a success!! I highly recommend it. We were there on 3 different occasions and we will continue to return... super well located and has a Pitzzeria in the lower part uffff

Selina has a very nice concept, not only for sleeping, but for enjoying all the environments and being connected with the region. I liked the movie area, they show nice movies and they also have nice paintings where you can take photos.
