The afternoon tea was amazing. Every hot item was hot and beautifully cooked, so much choice and just the right amount of each & for two people to share! The cheese cake was divine & the scones were so light & fluffy. If you like beer/ lager you get 3 small glasses or 1 glass of Prosecco , for none drinkers there is a Hugo spritz included , as much yea or coffee as you like, but other drinks off the menu are extra. The staff were efficient & tentative.

Loved our stay for my husband's birthday. The property is beautiful, a quaint country inn. The food is phenomenal - we had dinner and the alternative afternoon tea. We also got to do some of the onsite activities which were fun. Would definitely recommend a visit here!

It is hard to believe that this hotel is 5 star. We checked in to room 27, very outdated and nothing like the pictures. We were met with dust, cobwebs, hairs, dirty mugs and a disgusting plug hole in the shower. The reception staff, happily changed our mugs and apologised but the worst was yet to happen. I get a shower after 5 mins the plug was blocked and the whole bathroom flooded making it extremely dangerous and slippy. We called reception to say that this wasn’t acceptable and that room was very dirty. They were great and moved us to another room, a nice modern looking room. It’s a shame that a hotel has such a big comparison in rooms. We managed to get a good night sleep with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was great, when we were sat, a surge of tables came in and other tables were served before us but we understood that these things can sometimes happen. On the way back to our new room (from breakfast) we were met with a very rude cleaner, who looked us up and down and didn’t respond to us when we spoke. After awkwardly passing through the small corridor we felt very uncomfortable. Finally, there was a lot of work being done (due to the summer season starting), but as the corridors are so small awkwardly passing work men with loads of wires just wasn’t the best. I’m currently disabled after having major knee surgery and this was a worry. Their equipment was also left over night, making it difficult to manoeuvre (also blocking a fire exit route!) Overall, we definitely wouldn’t stay here again, the staff were lovely but would choose other places to stay in the lakes next time!

I would give the bedroom a 3, and restaurant a very good 4/5, so overall it is a 4. Stayed in a twin bedroom, check in was easy and friendly. Bedroom cleanliness let it down, sink was dirty and cracked, bath the same. Mattess was split into singles right next to each other. However, mattress protectors were just laid on top of the mattress, not on properly. When I tried to put them on, they were too small, mattress under was stained with lots of various shapes of hair. Bedding was lovely and fresh. Dinner and breakfast were great, such lovely staff both times, very accommodating if a dish needed adjusting. Breakfast had lots of lovely touches like own honey and sourdough bread, fresh croissant and delicious looking muffins. Hotel itself is in a peaceful location eventhough just off the road, lovely building too. Nice touches like umbrellas and wellies at the back entrance for guests to use.

Returned from a two night stay to celebrate my wife's birthday, totally enjoyed our stay, mostly due to the staff who where not only friendly but very attentive and of course very professional in all the departments. Special thanks to Natalia, Anu, Shubham, Jacob, Janette, Meagan & Sanjay. You all were excellent keep up the good work. The food was of a high standard and enjoyed all our meals. Recommendations for anyone during your stay, book the Falcon Walk tour with Stephen in advance, it is fascinating lasts one hour and a great experience, well worth the cost. The small stairs might be a problem for persons with any disabilities, and all rooms do not have a walk in shower. All in all a very relaxing break in a great location.
