Wyndham Duchally Country Estate

The double bed was a pathetic mattress. In this day and she comfortable beds are basic. The lamp shade was broken in our lodge and the carpets need replaced. Room 501 living room Has a strong bad doggy type smell. We couldn’t relax in the living room. It was either from the rugs or sofas. These lodges are tired and need updated. The bathrooms are dingy. The bedrooms are dark with poor lighting. Not good!

The lodges are a little tired but clean and spacious. TVs in all the bedrooms and plenty of toilet roll shampoos etc provided. The kitchen is very well equipped and you also get left a loaf of bread, jams, tea/coffee, milk, sugar, salt and pepper, dishwasher tabs, washing machine tabs, bin bags, cloth, tea towels. There’s an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, fridge freezer, kettle, coffee machine (filtered), washing machine and dishwasher plus an iron and ironing board. There’s a big coop 2 miles away in the village nearby for getting your supplies. There’s also a few takeaways that deliver (Fortune Inn Chinese was excellent). You can park outside your lodge. The leisure centre onsite is good for lunch and the bar in the hotel serves a nice lunch. Dinner was nice also in the hotel. Staff are all lovely. The hotel has a toddler play room and a teenage games room with pool, air hockey and a couple of arcade games. There was plenty of areas for kids to play with balls etc and it seems perfect for kids to take bikes. In the school holidays they have extra activities. Saw red squirrels and pheasants outside lodge which was nice and there are squirrel feeders on the trees. Even though the place was fully booked it really didn’t feel busy which was great. All in all I feel it was value for money and all the staff were so welcoming, we all had a lovely relaxing time, would come again for sure.

Extremely clean lodge. Bar and restaurant need some attention with service in bar fairly slow. Overall though a good few days away.

Stayed here for one night ten years ago and had a good (faint) memory of it. Returned as a family of 5 this time. Has everything you need. Comfy and spacious accommodation, little pool with steam room and sauna and cafe. Lovely grounds. Friendly staff and yummy food in the bar. Great base for exploring Perthshire and fife.

I had 32 guests with me to celebrate my 60th birthday. Most stayed the whole weekend and enjoyed the fabulous surroundings, leisure centre and spa services. We had a succulent meal in the beautifully decorated function room on the Saturday evening, and were efficiently served by wonderful waiting staff. All in all a memorable time was experienced by everyone. We will be back!

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the lodge we stayed in was clean, quiet, spacious and had everything we needed to stay. The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful in every way. The gin experience, as they produce their own gin was interesting and their own rose gin is delicious. We would definitely be going back to DUCHALLY, it’s a beautiful estate and worth the visit.
