Overall this hotel is fine, there are very basic things they can do to make it a much better experience for guests. As you arrive the grounds, bushes, carpark and generally all around the hotel is just dirty there was rubbish everywhere and as the bins are just open that probably doesn't help but it really wasn't very appealing to see as you walk in. The receptionist was pleasant enough however gave me very little information about the hotel or where to eat/ how food and beverage in the hotel works, I had a company meal allowance that they didn't even know if the restaurant next door would be able to accommodate. They also read my room number out to me and as a solo female traveller this made me somewhat uncomfortable; my room was one of the first ones which meant all day/ night people were coming and going loudly talking/ walking/laughing and it did keep me up (I know there's not a lot they can do about other guests - its just an FYI some rooms are very close to the restaurant/reception so people will be walking past constantly). The room itself was spacious however, it being on the ground floor meant there was constantly people walking past the window which was just awkward so I kept my curtains shut throughout my whole stay. There was also a pretty strange smell in the room it was a little damp smelling. Then on checkout it was hard to find a team member to talk to as I had a question about breakfast, then when I finally managed to get someone to help, they didn't ask me how my sleep was or how the stay was etc. not even really a hello. Overall there were just lots of small things that made the stay a bit rubbish and the team members just seem really disinterested, I will probably look to stay elsewhere next time im in the area. The next door restaurant is nice enough, staff are pleasant and food was nice and the atmosphere in the bar was lovely; menu is a bit small but that didn't really bother me.

I recently started a job with a new company and needed a place to stay as the HQ is 2.5 hours away from my home. My company booked this hotel and i can honestly say it was the best experience at a hotel i have had! The huge bed was so comfortable, everything was clean, i had an amazing nights sleep and the staff were super friendly and accommodating! A big thanks to everyone at this hotel, especially Katie at breakfast and Paula for my wonderful Good Luck card and chocolates they gave me before i left, it really made my day! I will definitely be recommending this hotel and look forward to staying again!

Lovely experience at this premier inn. Staff were lovely and friendly, room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and excellent standard, the chef, Robin was lovely, offered to cook anything you wanted, any eggs you would like, poached, fried, scrambled etc. felt really cared for. Excellent value.

Excellent staff! Cheerful and very helpful, found me a very suitable room. Plenty of parking, pub next door serving good food. Breakfast good quality (apart from the solid congealed fried eggs!) Good location not far from venue and motorway. The baths remain too high for someone of my height and age d are so difficult to climb into for a shower. I don’t have the same problem with other similar chains of hotels! Sometimes my choice of hotels is governed by whether they are dog friendly - which Premier Inns are not. I wish they would change!

It's the same as others ie you know know the bacon and sausages will be undercooked but the rooms are OK. This one has no plug bear the bed and shocking Internet. The upgrade was even slow at 4mb and they want extra money for that lol. If you are desperate its fine but it will never be your first pick lol

There is a few issues regarding Free Wi-Fi not working and parking Parking bays are cramped and poorly light also large commercial vehicles park in these bays reducing the amount of spaces being made available. Some of the outside planted areas are overgrown which make it impossible to park vehicles in at least two parking bays.

Walk into the room instant feeling of damp air, windows full of condensation. Woke up during the night everything felt wet, nowhere to dry towels so they stayed wet. Tiny little wall fitted heater which is the cause of the condensation. Spitfire is exactly the same maybe worse. Clearly a very dated premier inn as in never have had this experience before. I guess what do you expect for 50 a night!
