Continental Hotel, Cremona Room No: 208 An average size double room Wifi: Is available, and free in rooms Air con : Yes Tea and coffee available in room? Yes Towels: very thin quality Bed: not very comfortable Robes: No Location: 10 minute walk to centre Bathroom: good shower and facilities Breakfast: OK, help yourself buffet Dinner: as we were part of a group we had a set meal which was not great. There is a pizza restaurant on site which would likely be a better option. Comments: overall not a bad hotel. Very clean and close to town. Chicken leg with roast potatoes

A Reasonable hotel, the staff on reception and on the restaurant fairly pleasant. The rooms are a bit bland and dark, no English speaking channels on TV. Meals were downstairs and roof restaurant closed. Food was sparse and cold. OK for a stop over

The hotel was ok. There was a female concierge who was lovely and accommodating but the male concierge was not. When you asked questions about the bar and restaurant he waived off that the restaurant was too full to have a drink and that it was uncomfortable to have a drink at the “honesty bar” in the middle of the check in area. The pizza place where I ate instead gave minimal toppings and again getting a drink is like getting blood from a stone. I came to see the cathedral, been there done that: Cremona can be done in a day trip- don’t worry about staying.

So I travelled to Cremona to see the Cremona Cathedral with a crypt. After a train ride from Milan, which was better than the hotel, I found there was 1 taxi that serviced the entire town. People were arguing and he seemed to be yelling at someone on his phone, so I grabbed the bus. I had contacted the hotel when I booked for a transfer from the train station but never heard from them. When I arrived I was earlier than check in time and the woman in front of me also checked in but got a room. The lady at reception told me I was too early, I said that she also checked in early and now has a room so after much disgruntlement she gave me a room. This is a concrete maze and the air conditioning does not go below 22…now it was 37 degrees when I arrived and the air con wasn’t even on. In the evening for dinner the food is overpriced at the upstairs restaurant- the space should have been a pool! The downstairs pizza joint is also over priced- my drink came after the pizza and they were stingy on the veggies. Awful, horrible hotel, horrible door, uncomfortable bed, uncomfortable will never return

Run down and poorly managed hotel. The rusty front façade says it all. Rooms are hot with air-con that turns itself every hour, so a good nights sleep is impossible. Disgusting breakfast, find another hotel.
