The Old White Lion was a lovely stay. The staff were friendly and helpful; the restaurant has a vegan burger on the menu, which made things easy for me; and the view out my bedroom window onto the moors was very cool. The Inn is steps away from the Brontë Parsonage, as well as the public footpath that leads onto the moors. The Main Street of Haworth is lovely, but the walk to the Brontë waterfall is a memory for life. I did it early—wanting to see the sunrise on the moors—and it was otherworldly. The beginning of the path is a two minute walk from the Inn. I loved it here.

Historic and with Character but Uncomfortable The Old White Lion is set in a historic building in central Howarth. It is full of old world charm and character. It does have its own parking spaces in an adjacent street but be careful not to park so that you will get boxed in by other guests. Our only disappointment was the mattress. It advertised as a double but in reality it was a small double. We are an average sized couple and lying side by side we were both at the mattress edges. Therefore, we barely slept. The evening meal in the restaurant was good and morning breakfast buffet was also very good with a cooked breakfast option. To finish on a high, the staff were welcoming, friendly and most helpful. They deserve a lot of credit.

A Warm Welcome Amazing. Right from the start the staff were friendly, polite and welcoming. Food was delicious - we ate at the hotel for dinner - having the 'pigs' in blanket sharing starter and then both steak pies. Next morning - breakfast was great - although there was no 'bacon' for us - the server compensated by offering us additional sausages - so it wasn't too much of a disappointment.

Great location but needs an upgrade. Great location in the centre of the village and 2 mins walk to most places. Very friendly staff but needs an upgrade for comfort.
