Glen Isla House Bed & Breakfast Phillip Island

We stayed one night here and can thoroughly recommend it. The accommodation was well laid out, spacious, comfortable, well furnished, spotlessly clean and very convenient for Cowes, the beach and the penguins. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful with great communication and suggestions for local attractions. All faultless. Should have stayed longer!

This is a beautiful guest house ( not to be confused with the not so beautiful apartments next door) in Cowes. It’s set in its own grounds with beautiful gardens, outside seating and 5 minute walk to the beach. We had the best sleep we’ve had for months. Incredibly peaceful, no noise of traffic, just birds. Beautiful accommodation, everything you could wish for. A shared large living room where breakfast is served is stunning, and a bonus of a natural fire if a chilly morning. Great breakfast, fruit, cereals, all sorts of breads, pancakes and eggs and bacon. All accompanied by very friendly hosts, happy to help you plan your days with their vast local knowledge. We were sad to leave. Couldn’t have chosen better place and only 15 minutes from the Penguin Parade ( book ahead, as sold out every night).

What can I say about this lovely property. I have stayed in many properties in Europe and UK and this one is up with some of the best. On arrival we were greeted by Richard and puppy - so friendly and welcoming. He explained the set up of Glen Isla. He also gave us his recommendations re tourist attractions, food etc. Richard then took us to our room. Elegantly decorated - colour co-ordination of room very nice, beautifully draped curtains and good size room. This property is beautifully presented from the gardens, big trees lining the driveway to the accommodation and the elegant sitting area that can be used at any time by guests. A big comfy chair in front of the fire is a must and a glass of sherry of course which is complimentary. The linen was beautiful, beds and pillows comfortable, very very clean and extremely quiet. Parking was available on the premise and there is a five minute walk to the beach, which is a must. Plenty of selection for breakfast - thank you Evie. Please keep up the good work you have a beautiful property and it is a must stay when in Phillip Island. If I could I would of taken the property home with me. Thorough enjoyed our stay.

Could not fault this establishment in anyway. All mod cons provided, excellent sheets and towel. Places to sit inside and out. Hosts were polite, informative and respectful. Nothing was too much trouble. Due to delays, we were going to arrive late in the evening - so checked with owners. 'No problem at all was the answer'. So much so, when our car arrived and we looked for a parking place, the owner appeared, slightly wet - she had rushed out the shower to greet up. Professionalism? Would highly recommend this place.

Very comfortable and welcoming, well located and quiet. A perfect stopover on Phillip Island. We were delighted with our room, delicious breakfast and the easy access to the beach. The location reminded me of homes in Louisiana-a wooden homestead within a lovely garden. Many thanks to Yvonne and Richard!
