Ward Avenue B&B

What a wonderful long weekend we have had staying at 24 Ward Avenue. We booked the Badger Garden Room and were truly delighted with our accommodation. Our room was hidden in the tranquil garden and totally private. We loved the fairy lights in the garden and spent several evenings sitting out on the veranda just enjoying the peace and quiet. We loved the fact that we were able to get straight out into the park from the bottom of the garden through what felt like a little secret exit, so magical. Really comfortable room. The shower was large with plenty of hot water and we were provided with everything we needed. There is no fridge inside the cabin but we loved the extra touch of the electric cool box outside, this meant we were able to keep some fizz and other bits and pieces nice and chilled for when we wanted them. We were delivered a full English breakfast to our veranda every morning which was a great way to start our day. Jonathan and Melissa are excellent hosts and we will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend this property.

Stayed here for one night, was shown to a room in the main house with a lovely big bed! All the amenities one could need. A spacious private en-suite across the way. Breakfast was full English made to order and was lovely. Hosts were great and showed us the shortcut through their garden into park and the town. Would stay again!

This was a stay I'll remember forever. Jonathan and Melissa are warm, delightful hosts, and made the experience fun as well. Their yard is a beautiful garden, with a path leading to the chalets. I stayed in the main house and was very happy to be there - the chalets look awesome, too. The breakfast was fantastic - just what I needed for a long day of walking. Melissa even helped with a footwear recommendation that turned out to be perfect! The location is excellent - a short walk into Cowes for shopping and dining, as well as enjoying being near the water. I returned at the end of the week, and was so glad to be back - it was like going home. I hope to return at some time - it was great!

We stayed in the Red Squirrel chalet at the bottom of the garden which was so very cosy, clean and magical. Fairy lights throughout the garden and a secret gate leading to the park. Close to Cowes where frequent buses take you to Newport from where you can travel all over the stunning island. Melissa and Jonathan were wonderful hosts and breakfast was scrumptious. The first morning Jonathan brought it to our chalet where we ate it on the veranda. See photo. Thank you so much for our magical stay.

We had the most wonderful stay at Melissa and Jonathan’s B&B. They are wonderful and kind hosts, the accommodation was extremely comfortable and the setting beautiful. The breakfast was also excellent. It was also only a few minutes walk into central Cowes, and the walk and garden was very well lit when walking back at night. I would highly recommend!

What a wonderful find! Melissa and Jonathan are great hosts. Our accommodation was very clean, well appointed and the bed was so comfortable. Having cotton bed linen is always very much appreciated. The breakfast was lovely. It was such a peaceful setting. It really did tick all the boxes. We've booked again for September and are really looking forward to seeing Melissa, Jonathan and their two adorable dogs!
